ChromaGun
Welcome to ChromaTec’s test lab! You’re here to test our newest, state-of-the-art military-grade color-technology: The ChromaGun (patent pending)! Use it to try and solve our meticulously designed test chambers. The basic principle is as easy as applying it is complex: Exit the chambers via the exit doors. But be weary of the WorkerDroids in charge of maintaining the chambers. They’re not exactly what you and I would call “human friendly”. Use the ChromaGun to colorize walls and WorkerDroids to progress in the chambers. WorkerDroids are attracted to walls of the same color. Using that mechanic, try to reach the exit door of each chamber. Some doors are more complicated to use than others: They can only be opened using door triggers and only stay open as long as the triggers are occupied.

It's hard to decide whether I like this game or not. After almost 8 hours of playtime and all Steam achievements, there definitely was something that kept me coming back to this game for a few play sessions. It definitely has a Portal feel to it - but without the portals of course. I don't want to compare this game to Portal, but there are a few things that make this game a bit annoying:
It is a nice game, with an interesting concept, but...
- especially the later levels can be very difficult, because you have to be very precise with your timing. This isn't exactly a bad concept to make levels harder, but it can be frustrating when you know how to solve a chamber, but it just takes a lot of attempts to do so in time.
- there should be an option to repaint a surface or undo what you've painted. Because if you (accidentally) paint something wrong, you have to restart the whole level. This can be quite frustrating. I hope Chroma Gun 2 has a solution for this.

Fairly easy puzzles. Very definitely inspired by portal's aesthetic. Great potential for excellent community maps. Overall 7/10, would play through again.
If you enjoyed this game you might also enjoy the following (in no particular order):
1. Portal series (obviously)
2. Talos Principle 1 & 2 (absolutely God tier)
3. Antichamber
4. Manifold Garden
5. Superliminal
6. Sensorium (short, but clever)
7. Qube 1 & 2
8. The Turing Test
9. Path to Thalamus (probably a 5/10 game)
10. Lingo (word bases puzzles, love this game)
11. The witness
12. The looker ( :^} )
13. Viewfinder
14. The swapper (not first person perspective)
15. Baba is You (not first person perspective)
16. Understand (not first person perspective)
17. Yugo Puzzle (not first person perspective)

You can think that it`s Portal. But you will be wrong. Short and fun puzzle game. Looking forward for Part 2. Recommended for all puzzle games fans.
And yes, they have a cake for you :)

I recommend this game, but I'm just a little pensive about it. Feels like it sort of wanted to match the charm of the Portal games but doesn't do enough to bring that idea forward, save for a few action sequences. At first the puzzles don't seem to be all that good, but they do start getting complex by the end in a good manner, although I think the slingshot mechanic is half-baked and there are too many reaction-based puzzles for my liking. It was a fine enough puzzle game to have been developed back then, and the sequel coming next year seems way more exciting.

I dont remember buying this but its a fun little game. Not sure its worth 13 bucks but for what it was, it was a nice 3-4 hours. I like the stanely parable-esque narrator. Excited for the second one. Probably get this if it ever goes on sale.

Full Disclosure: Used to be a very small streamer/content creator, was GIFTED this game by the Devs out of nowhere via an email and a game code. Played it when it first came out but didn't ever get content uploaded cause I'd accidentally played the game and not recorded all of it because of how easily it keeps you in game :D
I just recently purchased this game for a friend!! I absolutely LOVE this game and cannot wait for Chromagun 2, but is there some sort of weird bug going around? When you updated the game just the other day it deleted all my game progress?? I recorded some videos a couple weeks ago, when I popped on for the first time in YEARS it still had my completed game and I had access to EVERY level. I restarted and even after my 4+ Hours of recording, I had access to EVERY level I'd played up to that point. I hop in today after doing that tiny update and ALL game progress is gone. Not sure what's going on. Game highly recommended, just don't play it until this weird update bug is fixed I guess?? o.o kinda hard to record a play-through if every time I get back onto the game I have to replay the entire game.

Fun little first person puzzle game, about 8 hours of gameplay time. There were a few instances where a very quick reaction speed was required which could be nerve wrecking. Other than that I have no negative thoughts on this game. Play it and have fun.
