Children of Morta is an action RPG with a rogue-lite approach to character development, where you don’t play a single character – but a whole, extraordinary family of heroes. Hack’n’slash through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons, caves and lands and lead the family of Bergsons, with all their flaws and virtues, against the forthcoming Gameplay-wise it's a unique mix of action-adventure RPG, rogue-lite and hack and slash game. By leveling up, you develop not only individual characters but also the entire family. There is no permadeath and you can change family members between the dungeon runs. The story takes place in a distant land but copes with themes and emotions common to all of us: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss… and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for. Ultimately, it's about a family of heroes standing against the encroaching darkness.

GG Children of Morta
Das Spiel hat jede Menge script Events die die Story voranbringen. Das ganze ist komplett Linear und sehr entfernt mit Hades zu vergleichen die Level und Upgrade Struktur ist ähnlich wen auch die Skill Attribute sowohl von Charakteren als auch Gameplay völlig unterschiedlich sind.
Das Spiel entfaltet seine Stärke im Mid Game , im End Game wird es bei hohem Exp LvL zu leicht und im Early Game entfaltet es kaum sein Potenzial.
Viele nette Ideen sind drin. Einzelne Quest sind unterhaltsam und nicht völlig Mainstream.
Ich würde einen zweiten Teil spielen.

Ein unerwarteter RPG/Roguelike Banger. Habe erwartet, dass ich das Spiel in höchstens 9 Stunden durch habe, aber da war dann doch mehr an Story, Secrets, Leveln etc, die ich unbedingt alle erleben wollte. Ist mMn sein Geld auch ohne Sale absolut wert, aber gerade wenn es reduziert ist sollte man Children of Morta auf jeden Fall mal mitnehmen!

Definitely not your usual pixel game. The only things that feels like a pixel game are the characters and enemies. Everything else is done so beatifull it's insane to even think that those are just pixels!
Great storytelling, graphics, world building and skill system.
The only downside is that the coop mode feels a bit too hard compared to playing alone.
10/10 worth it's money!
