Celeste ist ein außergewöhnliches Spiel, das sowohl spielerisch als auch emotional voll überzeugt.
Spielerisch ist es ein klassisches Jump’n’Run aber unglaublich gut gemacht. Die Steuerung ist ziemlich präzise, jeder Abschnitt bringt seine eigene Herausforderung mit sich und auch wenn man oft stirbt, sorgt die sofortige Wiederbelebung nach dem Tod dafür, dass kaum Frust aufkommt.
Was Celeste aber wirklich besonders macht, ist das Leveldesign. Jedes Gebiet hat ein eigenes Thema, das sich sowohl visuell als auch spielerisch abhebt. Mit der Zeit werden immer wieder neue Ideen und Gameplay Elemente eingeführt, die das Spiel über den gesamten Verlauf frisch und abwechslungsreich halten. Auch die Musik ist großartig und passt sich der Stimmung perfekt an und verstärkt die Atmosphäre enorm.
Kommen wir aber zur Story und die ist wirklich etwas Besonderes.
Für ein Spiel dieses Genres ist sie überraschend tiefgründig. Celeste nimmt sich Zeit für Charakterentwicklung und greift Themen wie Selbstzweifel, Angststörungen und Depressionen auf. Die Dialoge sind hervorragend geschrieben, die Zwischensequenzen sind ziemlich kurz, dafür aber sehr wirkungsvoll
Ich kann dieses Spiel wirklich jedem empfehlen. Es ist kreativ, liebevoll gestaltet und steckt voller Herzblut. Egal, ob man nach einem anspruchsvollen Jump’n’Run sucht oder die unglaublich tiefgründige Geschichte erleben möchte, Celeste ist für jeden etwas.

This game, was awesome. Brutally difficult, but awesome. After 100%ing Celeste I can only describe it as a true piece of art. The musik is great, the artstyle ist really charming and the mechanics are really satisfying. Tough you have to be a certain type of person to enjoy this game. Because it is difficult, if you get frustrated quickly, you will probably not play this game for very long, but if you enjoy a challenge, this is the game for you.

Tolles Game und wohl der beste Platformer den ich bisher gespielt habe. Die Controls sind simpel, aber die Puzzles werden immer komplexer. Der Soundtrack und die dazugehörige Story sind auch sehr schön und passend.
