Castle Warriors is a rogue lite auto battler that puts you in a race against time. Fight to conquer the kingdoms, build new army combinations, test new talent builds, and beat your fastest clear times on the hardest difficulty!
- Arch Druid Elura – Temporarily transforms enemies into harmless forest critters
- Lady Selene – Traps enemies in devastating blizzards
- Kaz of Iron Banrim – Raises a banner to inspire nearby allies with one of three buffs
- Warlord Gug – Casts a lightning bolt that chains between enemies
- Demon King A’Am – Hurls a fiery meteor across the battlefield
- Ranger Ian – Snipes a single unit for massive damage
- Priestess Jane – Chants a hymn to restore your army’s health
- Summoner Horus – Raises undead to assist your army
- Ten units from each Faction to fight for you!
- Each replayable in a higher difficulty, from base +0 up to +5!
- Major Patches are released with no set schedule whenever content is ready and (hopefully) bug-free
- Minor Patches are released with no set schedule whenever bug fixes or changes are ready

Auto-battler jakiego od dawno brakowało
Castle Warriors jest tym typem gry, który od zawsze mi się podobał - siadasz, wybierasz potworki, które będą same walczyć i delektujesz się pogromem jaki niesie Twoja armia. Od bardzo dawna nie widziałem tak fajnie zrealizowanego konceptu auto-battlera.
Pomysł jest bardzo prosty, a przez szalenie grywalny, bo zasady zrozumie nawet średnio rozgarnięty szympans, a zabawy jest cała masa. Są dwa zamki po dwóch stronach mapy i zadaniem gracza jest zniszczyć zamek przeciwnika. Czyni to rękoma postaci, które rekrutuje po każdym zdobytym poziomie. Poziomy zdobywa się poprzez zabijanie postaci, które wypuszcza na zamek gracza przeciwnik. Jest to samonapędzające się koło, bo im więcej przeciwników, tym więcej doświadczenia, a im więcej doświadczenia, tym więcej postaci, które można "przyzwać". Istoty, które walczą u boku gracza różnią się od siebie, mają swoje specjalne zdolności i pasywne umiejętności. Gracz dodatkowo może używać jednego czaru, który zależny jest od tego jakiego bohatera wybrał na początku gry (póki co jest ich dwóch - Elf, który zamienia na chwilę przeciwników w nieszkodliwe psy oraz człowiek, który rzuca zamrożony okrąg, który zadaje spore obrażenia. I na tym teoria się kończy. Chociaż nie ma żadnego wprowadzenia w mechaniki gry, to jak już mówiłem, zasady są na tyle proste, że nie trzeba się głowić jak coś działa, zamiast tego mogąc się cieszyć rozwałką na ekranie.
Między grami można dokonać ulepszeń pasywnych między innymi dodać sojusznicze wieże, które będą bronić zamku gracza albo dodać specjalną umiejętność, która niszczy wrogów, którzy za bardzo się zbliżą do twierdzy gracza. Nie ma tego zbyt wiele, więc strzelam, że bardzo szybko można ulepszyć wszystko w grze "na maksa". Zapewne w przyszłości zostanie dodane kilka opcji, które to rozwiną, ale na moment publikacji recenzji, małą ilość ulepszeń uznałbym za wadę produkcji.
Castle Warriors jest w mojej ocenie trochę zbyt proste. To znaczy - bardzo łatwo doprowadzić do momentu, w którym naprzeciwko potworów wysyłanych przez przeciwnika, staje potężna armia złożona z wysokopoziomowych postaci gracza. Wielokrotnie udało mi się sprawić, że naprzeciwko wrogiemu zamkowi parła armia ponad stu jednostek, które zmiatały z planszy liczebnością wszystko to co wrogi zamek wysyłał przeciwko nim. Nawet wrogowie elitarni padali jak muchy. Przydałoby się coś z tym zrobić, by gra stanowiła jakieś wyzwanie.
Póki co ilość poziomów jest mocno ograniczona i skończenie gry zajmuje kilka chwil. Szkoda, tym bardziej, że na screenach zamieszczonych przez twórców na stronie gry widać, że ukończone jest już znacznie więcej zawartości, aniżeli to co zostało rzucone we wczesnym dostępie - od bohaterów, przez wspomniane plansze, aż po nowe jednostki i czary.
Mam nadzieję, że gra nie umrze porzucona przez twórców, bo bawiłem się bardzo dobrze. Oby wkrótce wyszła do niej ogromna aktualizacja, która doda tą całą zawartość, którą widać na screenach. Cena jest na tyle niska, że warto kupić grę i wspomóc twórców w budowaniu ich dzieła.
