I downloaded the game for the single player only. I enjoyed the campaign and mixture of missions (stealth, driving, flying, etc). Didn't venture into MP but SP campaign was worth getting the game (assuming its on sale).

My Dad loved every call of duty game. He would have loved this but sadly he has passed. So i played for him and loved every minute

It's good if you get it for free, or on sale. Not worth 60 dollars..

I love this game, however, there are 4 positives and 4 negatives for me.
(Campaign mode only)
Positives:
1) I see a lot of people don’t like the story, but I love it. A beautiful combination of a war and the childhood tragedy, which is developed throughout the game.
2) The game brings you to the war. Not everyone can feel it, but once you try to put yourself into the game, you can understand what I mean. At the beginning, my hands were wet and shaking a little. It was a D-Day. I always knew what happened on June 6, 1944, so I was trying to put myself into the position of a soldier. This feeling is present a lot in the game. (Not everyone will understand me).
3) Graphics. No dispute that graphics in the game are so cool. It really helps with what I said in #2, because good graphics= more realism. Therefore, actions and other effects look very well.
4) Diversity of weapons, maps, and controls. You can feel different weapons to shoot the enemy. You can play in the forest, farm, city, snow, winter, summer… You have an opportunity to control a tank, a plane, and a jeep (which is so fun, speed, I am speed).
Negatives:
1) There’s is a big problem which you can also see in some WW2 movies. A few ally soldiers can destroy a big amount of Germans. I hate it when Germans are shown stupid and without logic. I was playing in a hard mode, but nothing special anyways.
2) Some moments in the game are way too heroic. Especially the mission when you are supposed to stop the train. I don’t want to spoil, but those who played – will understand me. I don’t think it’s possible in a real life.
3) Controlling a tank/plane missions are interesting, well designed, but come on… I think there was an opportunity to make a better control. Especially the tank, it was a bad idea to make the whole tank turn once you are looking to another direction.
4) I didn’t feel like my friends are helping well… It seems like the only positive thing about them is that they can give you ammunition/grenades/spot/medical bag. They are shooting some enemies, but I don’t feel like they are very useful.
Conclusion: If you are interested in WW2 videogames (or other shooters) – you should play this game. However, I don’t think it will be a good choice to spend $60. You better wait for the next sale. I bought this game for $20 on the summer sale. Good luck!

M1 Garand does ping :)

As usual a Call of Duty with great graphics but the campaign is on prefixed tracks, so you have nothing to decide, just obey orders, but that makes you feel like a solider for real, i think. Very short campaign as all CoDs. Multiplayer could be fun, but it's terribly laggy and in the lobbies you find always the same people with very high levels and it's a bit discouraging when you're level 2. Overall it's well done, but if you're especially interested in the campaign the ratio price/hours to play is not good at all.

Review from Steam

I played the campaign exclusively, as multiplayer COD isn't for me.
This is exactly the kind of experience I was expecting: WWII soldier hero fantasy, where you get to tour the USA's greatest hits as mostly infantry, but also sniper, fighter pilot, AA gunman, Résistance fighter, civilian and concentration camp liberator, tank driver/shooter (simultaneously), and quick time event expert.
If you have this in your collection, it's good ol' fashioned action, I recommend it for those purposes. There's nothing novel or exceptional here, but it's very competent at what it does. If you don't already own it, I think the asking price is a bit on the high side for the 10-12hr campaign.
I wouldn't recommend buying it at full price, but I'd recommend giving it a shot if you already own it and have 90GB of free space.
