Brownie’s Adventure
A fantasy point and click adventure in traditional 1990s style. Dark humour, player choices that have some impact on your outcome and hours of daft shenanigans.
– Over 70 locations
– Thousands of lines of dialogue
– Original music and SFX
– An intriguing story of pilchards, potions and politics
– Alternate outcomes and wildly varying dialogue based on player choice
In this hilarious parody adventure set in a vaguely renaissance fantasy world you play as ‘Brownie’. Brownie is a sub manager of a local pilchard press in his home town of Schtinkberg. A simple man, in the midst of a mid life crisis. He awakes from a terrible dream featuring his permanently angry boss and a poorly animated unicorn… the rest is up to you.
Follow the twists and turns of Brownie’s adventure into our world (Well, Sheffield anyway) and beyond in the funniest and most ridiculous point and click to ever be solo developed by a middle aged hippy burnout. Hours of puzzles and laughs.
Make choices, solve puzzles and enjoy absurd dialogue. Remember: You will be judged!

Brownie's adventure is a graphically ugly game, but underneath it all is a funny and most importantly very playable PnC adventure game. There are still some bugs present, but the game is completable and has some fun classical puzzles.
So don't let the look of the game fool You into thinking it's some shovelware game and give it a try if You like adventure games. It deserves to gain steam full profile features at least.

I loved this game. If you're a fan of dark British humour and point and click adventures, this is for you. It's Simon the Sorcerer with edgier humour and an even more hilariously unlikeable main character. It's a bit rough around the edges but for me that just added to the appeal.

Funny budget point and click adventure, if you like the Captain Disaster series you should check this out. Lots of in-jokes to other franchises.
The ending is affected by your choices in game, I've only played once at time of review so not seen other endings.
The graphics are very basic, which the characters keep making jokes about.
Try the sequel too, and look out for the impending third instalment.

I do enjoy leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in my wake. Not sure I needed to cause that many deaths, though

I'll be honest. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I picked this one up. Despite the pretty bad graphics, Brownie's Adventure is actually pretty funny. Insanely stupid, but in a good way. If you can look past the poor artwork, there's plenty to chuckle at. Really, there's a lot of juvenile humor here but I happen to think that sometimes you just want to experience stupidity. Add the Lucasarts SCUMM engine to the mix and you've got an idiotic Monkey Island-esque adventure. Sure, it can be finished in a couple hours with a walkthrough, but that's why this one is cheap. Looking forward to trying my hands at the sequel.
