The Shore of the Forsaken in the Awakened King DLC for Remnant 2 is a true treasure trove of secrets that unfold before players. Among these mysteries, two items are concealed within the walls of an abandoned lighthouse, which is itself a unique section of the Shore of the Forsaken, demanding thorough exploration from players.
Inside the lighthouse lie two special items: the Sparkfire Shotgun and the Lighthouse Keeper's Ring. Both items are designed to cater to a specific playstyle in Remnant 2, providing players with the opportunity to significantly enhance their tactical capabilities. However, obtaining these items comes with certain challenges, and it is connected to the use of the key to the abandoned lighthouse.
How to Find the Lighthouse
The ancient lighthouse spawns randomly in Losom. There is a higher probability of spawning new locations during the initial playthrough of the DLC. Players should rely on the world analyzer to spawn the desired location.
So, upon discovering the location of the abandoned lighthouse, players need to defeat Gorecarver and Thunderpiercer—two mini-bosses standing in the path to the lighthouse. After overcoming them, players receive the lighthouse key, which opens access to the rest of the map.
Where to Find the Ring and Shotgun
Upon reaching the lighthouse, players face a choice: either ascend the stone steps on the right or descend into hidden tunnels on the left. The Lighthouse Keeper's Ring is on the second floor of the lighthouse. Using the key, players can unlock the door and find the ring on a table in the adjacent room. This ring automatically generates 3 Mod Power per second for each creature within a 10-meter radius with a negative status effect.
Meanwhile, behind another locked door in a hidden tunnel lies the Sparkfire Shotgun. Opening this door requires the use of the key, which, upon interacting with it, needs to be turned so that one of its elements changes its position. This allows inserting the key into the underground lock. Upon entering, players discover this powerful weapon.
The Sparkfire Shotgun, in addition to dealing direct damage, also inflicts burns, making it particularly effective against high-health enemies. Moreover, it can be modified using various mods and mutators to apply multiple negative status effects. This weapon is default for the "Ritualist" archetype.
How to Obtain Both Items
There is a belief that it is impossible to obtain both of these items since the Lighthouse Key can only be used once. However, in practice, it is possible to acquire both the Sparkfire Shotgun and the Lighthouse Keeper's Ring using the same lighthouse key.
The trick is to examine the Lighthouse Key in the inventory, triggering the "Interact" prompt and changing the key's form. Reusing the key will open the door, allowing you to effortlessly obtain both items.
