When Chocobo becomes available:

Chocobo Mount is one of the most recognizable elements in the Final Fantasy game universe. It is a peaceful and friendly creature resembling a large bird. The Chocobo will help you save time while navigating the game world, especially when you need to traverse vast plains. In the beginning, you'll have to run on foot during the initial part of the storyline. Although you may encounter other Chocobos along the way, you'll only be able to ride your own. Here's some advice:

How to obtain Chocobo:

You need to complete the side quest "Feathered Miracle," which becomes available after progressing through the main story quest called "The Gathering Storm." While in the city of Martas-Rest, find the "green plus" marker on the mini-map. There, one of the residents will tell you the story of a protective animal that defends people from a bandit gang. The main character must help the Chocobo deal with the poachers who trapped it.

After taking on this quest, follow the quest marker. Soon, you'll come across a glowing feather lying on the ground. Pick it up and examine the nearby tracks. Follow the tracks, and at the end, you'll encounter the bandits. You must fight and emerge victorious.

By completing this quest, your Chocobo named Ambrosia will become your permanent companion. The first time you ride it, you'll unlock the achievement "Lone Rider."

How to interact with Chocobo:

To summon Chocobo, hold the [R3] button. Approach it and press [X (Cross)] to mount it. To execute more efficient turns, use the [L2] button and tilt the [L3] joystick while sprinting. Releasing [L2] will make your Chocobo dash forward, increasing its speed.

You can call Ambrosia at any time, as long as you're not engaged in story quests. However, you cannot fight using your pet, but you can easily escape from enemies. Chocobo will be very helpful in completing Hunt board missions.
