Upon reaching Hotel Krat in Lies Of P, you will encounter several NPCs available for interaction. As you progress further, additional characters may find their way to Hotel Krat. One such character is the Treasure Hunter Alidoro, and his quest is notably intriguing. It is not exclusive to him alone; it is intricately connected to another NPC as well. If you are curious about the storyline of Treasure Hunter Alidoro and the methods to complete his quest, you are in the right place.
How to Complete the Alidoro Quest
Initially, you need to begin by locating Alidoro, which can only be achieved after reaching St. Frangelico Cathedral.Once inside the library, take the elevator to the top balcony, where Alidoro awaits your arrival. Upon conversing with him, he will inquire about his next destination. You have two choices: Hotel Krat or Venigni Works.
If you opt to send him to Venigni Works, you will find him near the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer after defeating Fallen Archbishop Andreus.Alidoro will express displeasure at not being sent to a secure location as requested, prompting him to ask again where he should go. This time, your options are Hotel Krat or Elysion Boulevard. If you choose the latter, he will mention that he has already been there and accuse you of attempting to deceive him.
It's important to note that the choice you make doesn't significantly impact the outcome, as Alidoro will inevitably end up at Hotel Krat. However, sending him elsewhere is considered a lie.
Locating Eugenie
As the storyline progresses, Alidoro's quest becomes intertwined with Eugenie, the blacksmith located in Hotel Krat.
After defeating Champion Victor, proceed to Hotel Krat and engage in conversation with Eugenie. She will request your assistance in delivering the Four-fingered Glove to Alidoro, who will be waiting for you in the Barren Swamp. In the Barren Swamp area, continue your journey until you encounter Alidoro standing in front of a bridge. Interact with him and select the "Talk" option. Here, you will have the opportunity to discuss Eugenie's gloves.
Although Alidoro may not express great enthusiasm about the gift, it's time to return to Hotel Krat. Speak with Eugenie, and she will inquire about her request and its outcome. You will be presented with two options:
- Lie and say, "He was happy."
- Tell the truth, "He was angry. He said the gloves were rubbish."
Choosing to lie to Eugenie will please her and reward you with a Fire Abrasive. Opting to tell her the truth will earn you an Electric Blitz Abrasive.
Eugenie will share an intriguing story about how Alidoro saved her when the Workshop Tower collapsed, causing him to lose one of his fingers in the process. However, his refusal of the gloves has raised suspicions since fingers do not regenerate. She will then request that you gather more information about him.
Continuing through the Barren Swamp area after encountering Alidoro, you will eventually come across the Barren Swamp Bridge Stargazer. Here, you will notice a locked gate and an NPC named Rookie Explorer Hugo. He is the same person you can obtain from the Old Cryptic Vessel.
Interact with him, and you will learn that Hugo is a fervent fan of Alidoro and is actively attempting to locate him.
Choose the "Talk" option and select to discuss Alidoro to gather more information. During the conversation, Hugo will mention rumors circulating about Alidoro being wanted.
You will then have the option to inquire further about these recent rumors. Hugo will explain that these rumors allege fraud, theft, and assaults. He will even provide you with a wanted poster supporting these claims.
Encountering Alidoro
After the ambush at the hotel, Alidoro will relocate to a new area called the Relic of Trismegistus, which you will reach as part of the main story progression.
Advancing further, you will encounter the Black Rabbit Brotherhood (second encounter) and need to defeat them. This victory unlocks the Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field Stargazer. Continue your journey, and you will soon find Alidoro standing near a bonfire. Engage in conversation with Alidoro and inquire why he betrayed the hotel.
Following this revealing conversation, you will have the option to Attack Alidoro. If you choose to do so and defeat him, he will drop Alidoro's Cryptic Vessel. Return to Hotel Krat and speak with Venigni to decipher the vessel for you. You will receive Alidoro's Cryptic Vessel Decryption.
Ensure to open it from the collectibles menu and read its contents.
Finally, return to Eugenie and converse with her. She will mention hearing that Alidoro is no longer alive. Despite knowing he was a fake, she will inquire about the fate of the real Alidoro.
You will have two options:
- Choose "I think he was just a talented Stalker" to receive the Far East Princess record.
- Choose "He Was Eugenie's Older Brother" to acquire the Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1 record.
For the "Story of a Stranger Girl" trophy/achievement, you need to speak to her once more and reset the area.
