In the game Honkai: Star Rail, you will face various puzzles and tasks, which, if solved, will allow you to receive decent rewards. In one case, in the Base Zone on the "Hertha" space station, you will come across a locked compartment that can be opened with three key cards. In this guide, we will explain how to solve the puzzle and get a luxurious chest.
How to open a locked door in the Base Zone
At the beginning of the game, you may notice that the eastern wing of the Base Zone is locked. When players try to interact with the console, they will receive a message: "You have other matters to attend to."
To open the locked door in the Base Zone, you first need to progress in the game until an additional activity icon appears in the Main Control Zone. Here you will meet Arlan, who will give you a side quest called "The Path of Rebirth."
After completing the quest, return to the Base Zone and talk to Abraham, who is standing in front of the locked door. After the dialogue, interact with the console to open the door.
After entering the corridor, you will see a locked door that can be opened with three key cards.
How to get the first key
The first access key is located in the far room of the eastern compartment. To get the first key, you need to go through the corridor and defeat a group of monsters, and then defeat a strong enemy in the room. We recommend leveling up your available heroes to the maximum level beforehand.
After the victory, you will automatically receive the first key.
How to get the second key
Quickly move to the Main Control Zone and talk to the person with a lavish headgear located to the right of the local trader.
After interacting with him five times in a row, choosing any answers, he will provide you with the second access key.
How to get the third key
To get the third key, you need to explore the western part of the first floor of the Storage Zone. Here you will come across a puzzle related to switchable bridges, which we have already described in another guide. If you cannot solve this task:
- Enter the compartment and go down. Here you will have to destroy monsters, and then interact with the console.
- A bridge will appear. Cross it and fight the second group of enemies.
- Immediately after that, activate two consoles: one near the place where the enemies stood, and the second behind the boxes on the higher platform.
- Now reach the top console and interact with it. A bridge will appear that you can use to reach the upper compartment and find the key card. There is also a luxurious chest here.
Afterwards, return to the controller in the eastern building of the Base Zone and apply all three key cards.
