All About the Ritualist Archetype in Remnant 2

The Ritualist archetype emerges as a novel and enigmatic addition to the Remnant 2 universe, exclusively available to those who own The Awakened King expansion. This archetype centers around imposing debuffs on adversaries, diminishing their effectiveness in combat against you. Ideal for mass enemy annihilation, the Ritualist excels in minimizing ammunition expenditure due to the efficacy of its status effects, especially in typical biomes.

Key Features of the Ritualist Archetype

Upon unlocking the Ritualist archetype in Remnant II: The Awakened King, you enter a realm of techniques and abilities rooted in the application of negative effects. This implies that your strategy will revolve around inflicting numerous adverse statuses on your opponents to amplify the damage dealt.

Various modifications can aid you in this endeavor. For example, abilities like "Hotshot" and "Voltaic Rondure" apply burning and overload effects to your enemies, respectively. Additionally, it is beneficial to utilize throwable items such as grenades, which can be acquired from Reggie in Ward 13.

The third unlocked ability, "Death Instinct," represents a rather risky choice. Upon activation, your sole source of healing becomes dealing damage to enemies. It is recommended to have a teammate or choose the "Cultist" as your main class. In case of an unexpected demise, a companion with the ability to revive characters can come to your rescue.

Unlocking the Ritualist Archetype

To unlock the Ritualist archetype, you need the Tattered Rug. After acquiring it, deliver it to Wallace in Ward 13 and use it along with other necessary materials to create the Cursed Effigy. This effigy of the Ritualist archetype can be inserted into the primary or secondary archetype slot, granting access to its unique skills and privileges.

Locating the Tattered Rug

The Tattered Rug is located in the Forlorn Coast area and becomes available at the beginning of a new DLC adventure. Journeying through The Awakened King locations, you will pass the first two areas until you reach a large channel with boats in the Drowned Wen zone. Leap over the boats to reach the end and find the Tattered Rug on a wooden post after confronting a witch.

After obtaining the Tattered Rug, rest at a checkpoint and head to Ward 13. Approach Wallace, engage in a conversation, and create the Cursed Effigy using the following materials:

  • 1x Ragged Poppet
  • 10x Lumenite Crystal
  • 1000 Scrap

Install the crafted Cursed Effigy into one of the archetype slots to unlock and utilize the Ritualist archetype.

Unlocking the Fanatic Armor Set

Even after unlocking the Ritualist archetype in Remnant II: The Awakened King, you won't automatically receive the Fanatic Armor Set. To acquire this unique armor, you need to explore an additional area called the Forgotten Shore. The set is located in a solitary tower beyond the Palace of the True King. Here's a brief guide on obtaining it:

  1. Explore the Forgotten Shore and reach the Palace of the True King.
  2. Ascend a spiral staircase and, upon spotting a small room with Fae Archers, descend the balcony.
  3. Another staircase awaits you, leading downwards, and the exit will take you to the adjacent area of the Forgotten Shore.
  4. In the distance, you'll see a lonely tower. Note that defeating a mini-boss is required to freely explore this territory.

After defeating the mini-boss, you'll notice a wooden path along the slope. There, under the bridge, several corpses are hanging. One of them wears the distinctive Fanatic Armor. Shoot the rope to make the body fall and claim the Fanatic Armor Set.
