I saw an advert to try this out as a alpha for free, and was intrigued. I am very much a fan of survival and building/management games, and thought id spend a couple of hours checking it out.
Many Many Hours into playing this game, I love it. It is challenging, tough and needs a lot of patience. You play as a single person, surviving. The detail and depth is incredible. You need to really pay attention to the surroundings, where resources are and recognise how to return to your camp. There is no map, no compass, only a few markers you need to place yourself. If you get lost, you will most likely die through thirst or being eaten by wolves. There is a real focus on how one person would need to do things, thus there are a lot of missing generic game conveniences such as queuing tasks, or an easy start. It didnt take long to emmerse myself in the world and enjoy every part of it.
I went in not really expecting much, and was very pleased to find this is a very polished very enjoyable game. Well worth a look.
Update : Some more hours and game updates later, this continues to be enjoyable and the modifications to the game by the developer are all great. Really pleased to see this getting so much love so early on. Bodes well. Seems to be adapting to requests very efficiently.

Pre-alpha at the moment, but you can already see where the game is going and it is looking good. Obviously there are features it won't have this early on along with missing story elements, but the dev is hardworking and has a vision.
I'm not even sure if this will show up on the store page at this moment, but if it does and you read this - add the game to your follow or wishlist if you like the genre.

Hello this is such a great game for being a top down game its really good. I have not came across any issues while playing it. however I would not mind seeing a zoom in feature for the UI because the words are real small but other than that I didnt see any other issues.

Overall a very fun survival crafting game. I love how it keeps you on yours toes all the time - classic survival elements with having to manage food, water and fire at all times, while being attacked by progressively stronger enemies, and having to decide what to eat in order to minimize the blight effect, which also gets progressively harder.
As of right now in alpha stage the story line and involved characters are very simple, but I'm sure this will be impoved on :)

A great realistic game. Well balanced, more additional tools, weapons, construction optionds and buildings need to be introduced. Several types of animals. In any case, the story is great and needs a bit of improvement.

Fun game, really addicting. Took me a little while to start figuring everything out, but great start. Looking forward to playing a finished product.

It is pretty good, sucks you right in!
I don't feel its as hardcore as, for example The Long Dark or Project Zomboid, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I don't feel like I constantly have to rush from one meal or drink to another.
Crafting is well done, with multiple different ways of processing ingredients and without an insane number of redundant stations, as each station can do multiple things (for example, with the campfire you can both cook and dry out items, and it repels coyotes). Blacksmith work doesn't rely just on a proper craft station, you actually have to create molds out of clay, which have to be fired in the kiln. Cooking lets you add ingredients but doesn't tell you which ones or in which amounts, you just get a rough guideline saying if something is bland or flavourful.
I absolutely love the ability to remove markers from the minimap, and then have to rely only on terrain and compass for help - but alas, so far the play area is mostly flat. Sure, there's biomes such as rocks, meadows, forests, there are lakes and rivers and an ocean, and even villages and cities - but add in view distance and lack of the ability to climb somewhere and survey the terrain, this feature isn't nearly as fun as it could be.
Outward did this fantastically well, for example, and I suppose I'm hooked on this system since I played it :D
All in all - Blight has huge potential, and I'm sure gonna be wasting a lot more hours in it, even in just this iteration.
