Scotland, 1926. Following the suicide of his father, David Gordon visits his ancestral home for the first time in his life. A life that is soon threatened by the dark secrets that claimed the sanity of many Gordons before him. Tormented by nightmares and waking dreams for all his life, David fears that it might be his destiny to follow in his father’s footsteps, down a path that leads to madness, and death. Is there really a Curse that has been haunting his family, like his father believed? It is up to David to uncover the horrible truths, buried under generations of silence and fathoms of stone. Black Mirror Castle demands an offering…

Really good game/story. Great that the story was dark horror but the screen was also too dark so I wished I had control of the candle to see where I was going most of the time. The controls/camera angles were a bit awkward at times but manageable. I only checked a walkthrough for the master key positioning but ended up having to figure it myself. Steam also have Black Mirror 1, 2, and 3 which I have played and also enjoyed. So I recommend all 4. Well worth the money.

I RECOMMEND BLACK MIRROR !!
The game story-line is dark and deep, it will keep you on suspense till the very end.

TLDR: Good story, fun puzzles(not as good as the room), poor controls, average UI, average to poor camera angles, interesting characters, great spooky vibe(not too spooky), and with a runtime of 7-8 hours get on discount if you don't appreciate the full price.
Bonus: Not a Lovecraft theme for a change, (shocked Pikachu face).
A charming little mystery in the manor who-dunnit set on the backdrop of what is for once, refreshingly, not a Lovecraft inspired theme, but a Gaelic tale of druidry, occultism and ancient history. It is worth noting this is a reboot of the original Black Mirror title released in 2003. With a prequel already announced as of time of this review.
The gloomy and ominous mansion is a great set-piece for this story. As you explore it's confines it seems to evoke the same cosy feeling as reading a book by candlelight in a dark study. While digging through the shadows and poorly lit rooms for clues and keys alike you start to feel at home in the darkness, or the darkness in the home as it were, a theme reflected within the story.
The dialogue is disjointed as if it was recorded separately to the other parts read by other voice actors. However there are several memorable characters and several memorable moments within the story, some of which make for a great who-dunnit. In fact the entire plot twist is almost right out of an Agatha Christie novel but with a change of theme.
The movement controls are definitely made for controller, because on PC they are complete ass. Getting stuck on corners and edges makes for a frustrating experience.
Puzzle design in Black Mirror its quite interesting, not amazing, not terrible, but interesting to be sure. Some interactions gave me an outer body experience where i found myself playing one of the instalments from The Room franchise (great games btw).
Also not everyone will appreciate the semi-fixed camera angles reminiscent of the old resident evil titles, sometimes they work sometimes they don't, and the game accidentally teaches the player that moving the camera is bad, which backfires when some puzzles require it. Once you get used to the fact that camera moving while walking bad, camera moving while puzzle solving good, everything should sort itself out, maybe, there are exceptions.
Overall, i can overlook the simplicity and poor controls for the sake of an entertaining mystery laced with some spookums. Worth at least one play-through. Not very long, i spent 7-8 hours running this, and if you think that worth the price of admission great, if not, get at discount, but either way, worth a try if you can stand point and click, and like mystery box stories.

Although I did enjoy the game there are several things I'd like to point out.
Personally I think it captures the vibe of the original Black Mirror games perfectly, it is dark, dense and eerie. I liked the characters, the story and the dialogues, also the design of the mansion was impressive. As far as mood and atmosphere is concerned it was 10/10 for me.
But, I felt like the game was way too short, especially compared to the original point-and-click games. There were a few decent puzzles, but not enough for a game of this genre. Not to mention that the controls and camera were awful.
It was almost as if I was playing a demo or early-access game that is yet to be improved and finished properly.
