Scotland, 1926. Following the suicide of his father, David Gordon visits his ancestral home for the first time in his life. A life that is soon threatened by the dark secrets that claimed the sanity of many Gordons before him. Tormented by nightmares and waking dreams for all his life, David fears that it might be his destiny to follow in his father’s footsteps, down a path that leads to madness, and death. Is there really a Curse that has been haunting his family, like his father believed? It is up to David to uncover the horrible truths, buried under generations of silence and fathoms of stone. Black Mirror Castle demands an offering…

Really good game/story. Great that the story was dark horror but the screen was also too dark so I wished I had control of the candle to see where I was going most of the time. The controls/camera angles were a bit awkward at times but manageable. I only checked a walkthrough for the master key positioning but ended up having to figure it myself. Steam also have Black Mirror 1, 2, and 3 which I have played and also enjoyed. So I recommend all 4. Well worth the money.

I've playing for a few hours and I really like the game. The only thing that annoys me extremly is why is it so dark?? And it's not the creepy kind of dark, it's the I-have-no-idea-where-am-I-going kind of dark. We are in a castle! Wasn't there another candle?? And why does the girl have it and not me, since I do the navigation? Apart from that it's a beautiful interesting game.

A clear example that you should not get carried away by the reviews of others. A gothic investigation adventure that reminds me of the old pulp novels of my childhood and that lasts about 6 hours. Its a reboot from the old Black Mirror trilogy and is a mix between a telltale game and 3d exploration. It was really judged harshly by the niche but faithful fans of the original and the nostalgic ones who expected a more classic point and click adventure. Yes, more horror could have been introduced into the story but it is still a detective mystery with some ghosts apparitions to boot. Curiously, the most difficult puzzles in the game are in the first chapter, which I'm glad about since I'm not a fan of games that make you do a puzzle every two steps but that can give some the wrong impression. Recommended.
