Only a couple hours in but there is a lot to love. The art is great, the planet that you're on is huge and full of great little details. The music is excellent and epic. The writing is snappy and the game is chock full of interesting characters to talk to.
The game really seems to let you play however you want, I'm not the biggest adventure game fan but I found that very little of it was mandatory and there were multiple ways to solve quests. I haven't done a lot of quests, but I've been having fun exploring the world and doing platforming challenges.
If you're a fan of platformers, adventures games, or both, definitely check this one out.

**FIRST IMPRESSIONS**
So far I'm loving this game. It's such a unique mix of platforming and classic LucasArts style adventure games. The cool thing is that it seems like you can advance through the game using either approach, which is nice if you tend to like puzzles over platforming.
I'm still in the early areas, but was pleasantly surprised by how the game opens up almost immediately. You can travel to a lot of different areas of the world as soon as you get your first quest, even to the point of ignoring the quest altogether and finding something else that interested me. It certainly feels like it's living up to its promise of being able to play your way so far.
I've gone through a few of the caves which are surprisingly challenging. I definitely have to remember to bring more healing potions. Luckily, controls are tight and the respawn time is almost instant so I can get right back into my next attempt.
Every character I've come across is hilarious and weird and the writing is consistently surprising. It's meta and self-aware at times, and also really creates some instantly memorable characters. Bleep and Bloop are my early favourites as classic Space Invaders. There's a ton of pop culture references littered throughout too which feel like fun easter eggs.
Early impressions are great! Definitely worth your time.

Having so much fun playing this game! Super impressed with how deep this game goes and also has made me LOL a bunch of times. I feel like you could play it 1000 times and things would go differently each time based on all the decisions you can make. Loving the RPG elements, crafting, and so many side quests!! Extremely good value for the price in my opinion, 100% would recommend.

Billy Saves the World delivers a heartwarming and humorous adventure story about an unlikely hero on a quest to save the world. The witty dialogue keeps makes me laugh and I love all the pop culture references hidden slyly throughout. Visually, the game shines with its vibrant, cartoonish art style and beautifully crafted environments, each brimming with personality. Also, the soundtrack is sweet. Super fun to play!

The game is very easy to play and enjoy. Pacing and mechanics are smooth from the start and I never felt lost.
I think the story and dialogue options are also quite. Planning to come back to this game and play further into it later.
