Ben 10: Power Trip could strike one as a wonderful game at first sight due to it being an open-world Ben 10 game and all, but as it progresses further, it turns out to be a decent game overall. It’s based on the reboot, and it could be classified as one long episode. Many people don’t like the reboot, including myself mostly due to the character designs, and let’s be real here, the classic continuity had a lot more character and depth than the reboot. There’s also a slight chance that we simply grew up and it doesn’t appeal to us anymore since we’re not the target audience. However, despite not being that into the reboot, Power Trip managed to keep me entertained.
Like I stated before, it’s an open-world game and it takes place in Strudelbek, a place that hasn’t appeared in cartoons yet. Just as Ben, Gwen, and their grandpa are about to relax by taking a vacation in Europe, the evil magician Hex shows up and scatters Omnitrix’s aliens around using the power of four crystals and hides them in void portals. This incident is very similar to the best Ben 10 game Protector of Earth, but instead of starting with 2 aliens, Ben is forced to find all of them one by one. You basically spend your time helping the people living in Strudelbek with void portals opening here and there, doing side missions, and going after the collectibles. Unlike Protector of Earth, Ben doesn’t have any offensive methods to fight the void monsters, but he has a scooter that he can ride around until XLR8 becomes available. He still doesn’t have all 10 aliens, though. Power Trip offers only 6 aliens despite coming out years after Protector of Earth. Even the previous game had more aliens than this one, so I don’t really understand the reason behind their decision.
Kevin is also playable, but only in co-op, which is a very, very dumb decision if you ask me because it could’ve added a replay value despite his aliens being literal carbon copies of Ben’s with different skins. Since I didn’t watch the reboot, I was quite surprised when I saw that Kevin also had an Omnitrix of his own. The game itself plays and feels like a PS2 game, but it’s still fun, nonetheless. It’s worth noting that it is a game aimed at kids, we are simply not the target audience here. So, yeah, keep your expectations in check, otherwise you will be extremely disappointed. There are, however, some points that I’d like to criticize. I have many reasons to believe that the game hasn’t been playtested properly due to the many audio and visual bugs. The achievement “Super Ben” is also buggy because the civilians you’re supposed to rescue don’t spawn properly which makes the achievement semi-broken, but I’ve written a solution here if you’d like to 100% the game. Overall, it’s a decent game despite the bugs and other inconveniences. Whether you like the reboot or not, Power Trip is worth checking out at a deep discount because the current price tag is ridiculous.
TL;DR
A decent open-world Ben 10 game where you’ll be spending your time helping the people of Strudelbek, going after the collectibles, doing side missions, and taking down the evil magician Hex. It offers 6 aliens, and it feels and plays like a PS2 game, but it’s still fun despite having a few bugs.

I can see me as a kid having a great time with this game, unfortunately I am no longer a kid, so I had to settle for just a really good time.

Pretty cool game, tbh I was not expecting it to be this enjoyable, especially because I am a small hater of the reboot. However I really like the open worldness of the game and the mechanic of transforming into different aliens. There are no limitations such as in the animated series where you can be transformed into an alien only for a certain amount of time. There is no cooldown on the powers, this is another cool feature.
Of course some things cool be have been made better, such as having more abilities per alien, or having more aliens in which you can transform, but I guess that would have been out of the scope of the project, and it would have made it bigger and more overcomplicated.

open world Ben 10, it's fun but clunky at times and also really short for an open world game

it was really fun for 2 players to play and it was a great game to play

So far its better than the first rebooot game. Good story and grinding. Gwen looks super weird and Ben sometimes looks weird but the graphics are pretty good overall.

Way better game than retarded garbage like god of war, marvel spidermens and what else trash there is elden rings etc. It's game for gangsters , for individuals who can comprehend darkness and can turn off adult brainwash .Pretty simple. The gameplay itself is not good but u can have simple fun & quickly feed your imagination at way faster pace than in those fake stretched-plastic games I mentioned before. Launch the game every once in a bloodmoon, put on some good muzik, skip all dialogues and run around as xlr8 at high speeds n chain heatblast's double jumps to skip as much of the the tiger monster wallclimb spots as u can.Later u can unlock diamondhead n he has ability to do some surfing in the air-i havent experimented with it yet. Its fun to imagine what could have been if this game had higher budget n more focused on xtreme sports type arcade gameplay = this represents the struggle of a wanderers soul in the modern prison world. Enough said. Only downside is the aliens n characters are based on the weird later ben10 shows instead of the old gold original. There is a co-op u can invite your friend over remote play and create your own fun.
