Belonging is a game about a cult and its victims.
As a thief scouting a potential location they want to steal from, the player searches an abandoned estate of a cult to find valuables and uncover uncomfortable truths about what happened to the people that lived there.
Collect and Decide what valuables should be left behind as evidence to the cult’s wrongdoings all while unlocking every door inside the cult estate to reveal what made the cult disappear so suddenly.
Inspired from real life cult survivor stories this game makes sure the player understands how human it is to fall for the narrative cults peddle and build empathy for people we might thought are lost or worse irredeemable.
Features
- Laid-back storydriven narrative game.
- Explore an abandoned estate of the Entelechism cult in this first person mystery adventure
- Collect valuables by taking photos of them
- Watch recordings of the organisation that used to live in this building
- Unlock different areas of the estate by finding key items
Belonging will release in mid to the end of 2023 and have a playtime of around 4-7 hours.

We start to game to silence on the main menu. No music whatsoever. This is a bit jarring to me. The game features an intriguing story that is voice acted. That ticks a particular box for me. We're pretty much a hacker tasked with figurin' out what has taken place at this cult getaway. Currently I'm stuck at a certain segment but I dont think I'll be there forever. Not too bad for 15 bucks.

I am playing this game on my Steamdeck and apart from some fiddeling in the menu it is working without a problem.
Very atmospheric game that flashes some light on dubious organizations/cults and how one could fall into their nets.
Really nice to see how they improved the gameplay compared to the demo and that even more hints are put in to really show what has been going on there.
Looking forward to unravel the whole picture on what happened on this Island.

I enjoyed playing this game as it reminded me of Tacoma. I enjoy playing games trying to investigate mysterious things. There were some things about the game that I would like to see improved, but I know they'll get to those things eventually, so I am not too worried or upset about it.
Pros:
Story is engaging (at least I thought so) and I enjoy investigating, reading, and listening to notes and audio files.
Very smooth game play; no glitches or lagging so far.
Voice acting was good, though I felt there were a lot of pauses between conversations.
Cons:
The subtitles sometimes didn't match with what the voice actor said and the grammar was not always right, but that's not a big deal and it's easy to fix.
As soon as the game started, a message on the top left corner said my video graphic memory or (something like that) said it was full or not right. It also said that video performance would be poor, but throughout my play through everything was working fine. No poor video performances at all for me.
I would like a little more music in the game as well, but the silence in the game does give it a creepy feeling seeing as you are exploring an abandoned cult building. Also the music whenever Jayce finds Kai's evidence cuts off quickly as soon as the commentary ends.
I also think the chat choices were too quick, especially when trying to decide which chat box to pick for the first big and important decision in the game.
Though I have a lot more cons than pros, the game does have good potential and again, they just released yesterday, so I don't expect it to be perfect right away. I think the game is engaging and fun to play for those who enjoy investigative games like Tacoma or gone home.

This game was so fun to play through, I'm not usually good at mystery and solving games but this made it easy and fun to discover everything.
You really got to feel for some of the characters as well, the voice acting really helped with that.
Also my neurodivergent ass really liked hearing all the different texture sounds based on where you were walking lol
Overall, this game does has some bugs (nothing game breaking or ruining) but would definitely recommend. This is a great team and I hope they're able to continue making games in the future.
