日本語化はワークショップに公開されているMODで対応できます。いくつか種類がありますが、最新の「Beholder 2 - Yet Another Japanese Translation」をおすすめします。文章が自然で、物語に入り込みやすいと感じました。
ゲーム内容については、前作からグラフィックが進化し3D化されています。また、1人の人物と関わる時間が長くなり、会話量も増えたことで没入感が高まりました。反面、毎日の収入源となる通常業務は正解が分かりにくく、単調で退屈に感じるのが大きな欠点です。
エンディングまでプレイするのに10～15時間程度かかりました。何度かやり直すことにはなりますが、セール時に購入して気軽に楽しむにはちょうど良いボリュームだと思います。

私の一番好きなゲームです！残念ながら日本語はフォローされてないので英語でプレイしました。今後日本語がフォローされて日本の友人に勧めやすくなるといいなと思います。
ストーリーは1とは舞台が違いますが、繋がりもありとてもゾクゾクしました。クセは強いですが、シリーズの中で圧倒的にものすごく好きです。このようなテイストの続編が出ることを心から望んでいます。
