Ich verstehe wirklich nicht, warum dieses Spiel so durchwachsen bewertet wird. Ich habe keinerlei Nostalgie für die Originalteile und bin eigentlich auch kein Fan von 2D-Beat-’em-ups, weil mich das Gameplay meist schnell langweilt – auch wenn ich das Genre eigentlich mögen möchte.
Doch dieses Spiel überrascht mit einer tollen Abwechslung: Minispiele, Fahreinlagen und andere spielerische Auflockerungen halten das Erlebnis frisch und haben mich erstaunlich lange motiviert weiterzuspielen.
Die Story und die Zwischensequenzen erinnern ein wenig an die frühe Nickelodeon-Zeit, können aber problemlos übersprungen werden, falls man nur spielen möchte.
Schade, wirklich schade, ist allerdings das fehlende Online-Koop-Feature. Trotzdem bleibt es ein schönes, kleines Spiel, das einfach Toadally awesome ist.
