Battle Chef Brigade
Welcome to Victusia, where the members of the elite Battle Chef Brigade are revered for their ability to skillfully take down monsters and transform their kills into delicious cuisine! But getting in isn't easy; chefs from across Victusia must vie for their spot in a high stakes competition. Follow two contestants, Mina and Thrash, as their journeys through the tournament unfold. In order to become a Brigadier you'll need to hunt monsters with combo-based attacks and prepare your freshly-caught ingredients in puzzle-based cooking challenges to serve up winning dishes to the judges – all while the round clock ticks down. Play as two chefs, brought to life with colorful illustrations and VO, in a charming campaign that’s equal parts old school brawler and combo puzzling, with a light sprinkling of RPG progression on top. Welcome Ziggy, the Undead Necromancer Chef, now playable in Local Multiplayer, Break the Dishes, Survival, and Free Play.

Battle Chef Brigade offers a diverse gaming experience that blends storytelling and gameplay effectively. The narrative is engaging, and a colorful cast of characters makes the journey enjoyable. The game's unique blend of monster hunting and match-3 the ingredients adds an exciting twist. Customizing your loadout with various equipment adds depth. Different judges with distinct tastes keep gameplay fresh, and the inclusion of modes like battles with friends and a practice area provides variety. While achievements are generally achievable, one requiring daily battles to reach level 12 may feel tedious and extend playtime. Visually and aurally, the game excels, with a charming art style, voice acting, and immersive sound design.
In summary, Battle Chef Brigade is strong in various areas and caters to different playstyles with its diverse gameplay options. Just be prepared for some grind if you're chasing that elusive level 12 achievement.

I really enjoy playing this game, even though I joined a bit late. I had this game in my Steam library for a few years, and recently decided to give it a try.
The gameplay took some time to get used to, but once I understood it, the game became extremely fun. It's different from other cooking games, and the puzzles are entertaining.
The art and style of the game are impressive, and the food and fighting animations remind me of an old anime. This game can be both relaxing and stressful at times, but the challenge is what makes it enjoyable to play.
This game is a hidden gem super underrated. ♡

Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe is a culinary gaming masterpiece that had me completely enraptured for a solid 11 hours. This delectable gem is an epic fusion of cooking and combat, blending together two of life's greatest pleasures in a way that's simply mind-blowing.
From the very first bite, I was hooked. The game's charming characters and engaging storyline drew me into a world where cooking battles were the most epic clashes of all time. Preparing dishes felt like preparing for war, and my kitchen became the battlefield for the most thrilling culinary showdowns.
The game's unique blend of match-3 puzzle mechanics and intense cooking duels had me chopping, slicing, and dicing with the fervor of a seasoned chef. Every dish was a work of art, and I felt like a culinary wizard concocting spells with my ingredients.
But alas, as much as I cherished my time in the Brigade, my life was soon consumed by the enigmatic world of Death Stranding, and I ventured into that captivating realm. Yet, Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe remains a cherished memory in my backlog, a delectable treat that I know I'll return to when the craving for epic culinary battles strikes again. It's a must-play for anyone seeking a truly unique gaming experience.

I'll start by saying this: you'll never find a more unique combination of game mechanics anywhere else.
Battle Chef Brigade executes itself amazingly, with fantastic art, lovable voiced characters, and mechanics you could perpetually sink your teeth into. It blends together the features of various other games to create something brand new, and it's clear that the developers put a lot of time and thought into it. I've been playing this game for years now, on and off, and have never tired of it.
Criticisms: The game is clearly rushed. I won't lie, there's not as many features as I would've liked. For example, there are only 3 playable characters in the entire game, and it's obvious that one or two were cut out during development. However, it's only the price of 2 McDonald meals, and I've gotten a whole 70 hours (as of writing) out from it, so I can't say I'm incredibly disappointed. It's still more than worth the price.
In conclusion, give it a try. In the 2 hours before you can't refund, you can definitely get through enough of the story to see if it's your thing. And the more people play, hopefully the more encouraged the devs will be to make a sequel.
10/10, I'll never get to play another game like it.
