Battle Brothers is a turn based tactical RPG which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world. You decide where to go, whom to hire or to fight, what contracts to take and how to train and equip your men in a procedurally generated open world campaign. Do you have what it takes to lead them through bloody battles and to victory? The game consists of a strategic worldmap and a tactical combat layer. On the worldmap you can freely travel in order to take contracts that earn you good coin, find places worth looting, enemies worth pursuing or towns to resupply and hire men at. This is also where you manage, level up and equip your Battle Brothers. Once you engage a hostile party the game will switch to a tactical map where the actual fighting takes place as detailed turn based combat. Manage a medieval mercenary company in a procedurally generated open world.

Goog turn-based roguelike game with twist of menaging your team. If you like tactical RPGs without much of the plot (no plot like Mount & Blade) and if you like low-fantasy setting (think Warhammer Fantasy but no Dwarves and Elves) then this game is for you!

One of a kind! I keep returning to this game because the Iron Man mode experience is so exceptionally good that no other game can match it.
Battle Brothers also has many amazing mods developed by the community that add a lot of cool new content to the game.

Nie jestem zapaleńcem turowych strategii, ale w Battle Brothers się zakochałem.
Jest tu wiele ciekawych systemów, np. to że gdy stojące obok siebie postacie zasłaniają się tarczami, to zwiększają ochronę również sobie nawzajem, albo to że im więcej przeciwników otacza postać, tym gorzej się ona broni. Każdy rodzaj oręża, których tu nie brakuje (włócznie, kiścienie, topory i wiele więcej), ma własne zastosowania i przyda się do czegoś innego. Dla mnie w grze najprzyjemniejsze jest właśnie testowanie różnych strategii.
Łatwo jest stracić kilku ludzi w boju, zwłaszcza na początku, kiedy naszej kompanii brakuje doświadczenia i sprzętu, ale to integralna część rozgrywki. Z czasem ci, którzy przeżyją, zyskują nowe zdolności i stają się maszynami do zabijania, a kompania dzięki coraz większym zarobkom z coraz trudniejszych zleceń może sobie pozwolić na wysokiej jakości uzbrojenie i lepszych rekrutów.
Polecam każdemu fanowi strategii w małej skali (w większości trybów rozgrywki kontrolujemy maksymalnie dwunastu walczących) i klimatu fantasy czerpiącego z niemieckiego folkloru.

Game for specific type of connoisseur. RNG will drive you mad, convoluted mechanics will keep you in the dark for hours, simplified graphics will not impress you. But if you mangae to go past the 20 h mark, you will fall in love with it. Just don't engage with community cause the only thing you will get out of them is to build fat neutral.

At first i didn't like it and was thinking taht Wartales is better.
I still think Wartales is better (still have to play new DLC), but now i think this one is ALSO good one. For now i'm learning mechanics. building up characters, fighting style of different monsters on vanilla but i consider buying some DLC in the future, probably when there will be huge discount (don't judge me i have a big big nose).
At this moment i can give solid 7.5/10 - maybe if i play a bit more that may change.
But to sum it up i recommend buying Battle Brothers to play it. At the beggining it may be frustrating but bear with it.
