Barn Finders
L’auteur n’a pas encore fourni de description dans votre langue.
Search for valuables stashed in abandoned barns ranging from old clocks, musical instruments, antiques, gold, weaponry to even vintage cars and motorcycles and sell them for a profit. Run your family business. Look for valuable items and sell them in your pawnshop. Every item has a value, so collect everything and search everywhere! Bid on auctions and sales to get access to closed-off properties. Who knows what kind of dusty treasures you can find there? Visit 12 original locations and unearth their secrets in the land of Ammeryka (largely simmilar to the real America, but not quite). Barns are just the beginning. How about a visit to an old military base or . . . the moon? Take care of developing your shop. Empty shelves mean an empty wallet. Customers will come back if they have something to come back for. Fix found items, clean the dirty ones and sell them all. And if there are no customers, you can always play basketball in your backyard. And somehow, make money while playing.. Uncle Billy will keep you busy. Together you’ll explore different locations, but the real work is all for you to do. That is, until you go solo. Eventually. Being a real Barn Finder is a state of mind – a job for the brave and the bold. Your competitors are specialists and they are just waiting for you to slip up.

First thing to say, I can only recommand this game and its DLC ONLY AND ONLY if you buy them on sale like 50% reduction + for each products.
Now, let's go to the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Good
The game is entertaining. I didn't felt bored at all while playing it. Sometimes it's funny, but most of its humor is juvenile humor (fart & toilet humor). If you like TV shows like Bid Wars, Pawn Stars and American Pickers that's more or less what you get. You go around Amerika (alternate America), find stuff, get back to your store, sell the stuff you find and sometimes some of the stuff need some fixing or some cleaning before being worthy of being sold. The people you have to bid against sometimes are your clients. Depending on their moods or if they're "fans" of the item, you'll have a harder time or easier time to haggle with them to get higher prices on your stuff. You can improve your store, and you can buy tools to help you get certain items you wouldn't be able to get (like burrowed items). You get like 14 different locations to explore and find stuff on. 3 more maps in one DLC and the other DLC open up a Bid War amusement park.
The Bad
Each map has the same items again and again. Because, yes you can get back to the maps. That's mostly in case you ran out of money. But don't expect to find the expensive ones. Sometimes when redoing the maps you can find items you hadn't found before in there. Which lead us to the 1st issue, which ain't the worst, but still: Because of how this work, you might not be able to find ALL of the game's items. That's fine in a way tho, as it isn't an achievement (it used to but they did away with it "temporarily").
Second issue It seems that the devs are unable OR unwilling to fix the bugs in the game. And there's a lot of them to be squashed. But not game breaking ones. Visual bugs, and other small bugs that while aren't that bad show that the game still need polishing. One of the most annoying bug I got was that for a while I had enough money to make many maps in one go and got up to over 400 items in my reserve. And when I sold them without going to sleep in game, it started making the game glitch here and there. Now again, nothing game breaking, but a tad annoying none the less. As I write this, last update was 4 months ago and it was just the Christmas event ending. So no big update to fix stuff or anything of the like. In fact, the last update that seemed to fix or add something was in sept. 2024 (at least from the title of the update). So yeah, seems like the team have moved away from this game.
The Ugly
THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥' precision minigames!!!!!!! So, I'm all for mini-games, it break the monotony that can get in this kind of game. But those... Grrrrr. They're basket ball based games and... I suck at precision games. And two upgrades that can be unlocked for you to buy come from 2 of those games. Now, you CAN finish the game without those upgrades, but they're pretty useful IMO and locking them behind games where you got to target thru hoops and have to be precise while a timer goes down. I HATED THAT.
in summary
The game is fun. Like all of the games that are published by Play Way. HOWEVER, I've seen lots of people saying that more and more of Play Way published games are unfinished and full of bugs, or just completely abandonned by the devs, while Play Way still let them on Steam to make more money out of unfinished products. And I can't say they're wrong. It's been like 3 games I bought that are published by Play Way that are like that lately. I did enjoy all of them, but yeah, all of them were unfinished products and had bugs. I think Play Way NEED to steer away from such practices before they acquire a bad reputation. At least, if it hasn't happened yet.
So yeah, good, fun game, but full of annoying bugs. Again, buy when the game and its DLC are on sale of 50% reduction or more.
