Barn Finders
Search for valuables stashed in abandoned barns ranging from old clocks, musical instruments, antiques, gold, weaponry to even vintage cars and motorcycles and sell them for a profit. Run your family business. Look for valuable items and sell them in your pawnshop. Every item has a value, so collect everything and search everywhere! Bid on auctions and sales to get access to closed-off properties. Who knows what kind of dusty treasures you can find there? Visit 12 original locations and unearth their secrets in the land of Ammeryka (largely simmilar to the real America, but not quite). Barns are just the beginning. How about a visit to an old military base or . . . the moon? Take care of developing your shop. Empty shelves mean an empty wallet. Customers will come back if they have something to come back for. Fix found items, clean the dirty ones and sell them all. And if there are no customers, you can always play basketball in your backyard. And somehow, make money while playing.. Uncle Billy will keep you busy. Together you’ll explore different locations, but the real work is all for you to do. That is, until you go solo. Eventually. Being a real Barn Finder is a state of mind – a job for the brave and the bold. Your competitors are specialists and they are just waiting for you to slip up.

I really want to like Barn Finders. Its "barns" and various locations in which to find items are excellent, and I have a lovely time tearing them apart, looking for something interesting or shiny to take home with me. I also enjoy the process of cleaning and repairing, and the gentle, zen-like satisfaction that comes from taking something broken and making it new again. These mechanics are good, and I enjoy them.
However, the shop itself is a bit of a slog. Having customers slowly and gradually spawn means I sometimes am stuck just waiting for things to sell out so I can move on to the part of the game I actually enjoy. While there is a haggling mechanic, not being able to set my own prices means the shop feels more like an inventory dump than a fully-fledged part of the game. I power through it to get to the bit of the game I enjoy, but the shop itself is dull.
I also struggle with the shop because of how vaguely racist many of the characters are. While I understand the devs are creating a very specific world, that world verges into the caricature a bit too hard for me to be entirely comfortable.
Finally, the game also makes me motion sick, even after changing FOV settings. It's a shame, because I want to finish it, but I've never been able to play it for more than an hour or so at a time before I just get too nauseous.
I'm recommending it because of how much I enjoy the item finding, but it's a heavily caveated recommendation.

Just a game of a dude who goes to farms and clears them out for loot to sell at his barn store. Business as usual. There are no aliens, just barns, promise.

NOTE: Game is kinda repetitive in concept but it makes up a lot with it's lore and goofiness. Very much a tycoon type game.

Serviceable causal game. Many undercooked ideas, lots of minor bugs. Still, gameplay loop is pretty satisfying. Good game to relax, kick back and clear your mind. There’s some light puzzle solving, but nothing remotely difficult.
Amerykan Dream DLC adds three new levels and some new customisation for your Pawn Shop. I guess it’s worth picking up with the base game. Avoid paying for Bid Wars DLC, that’s a pass.

A decent casual game, nothing too complicated. But the bugs frustrated me during gameplay. The first run through i had was a couple years ago. It occured a bug in the last level and I couldnt accomplish the last achievement. Now I started again and maybe im forgetting something but it occured a debuff or sth where the shovel, the axe and the flashlight look different and in the middle of the light is a face which is pretty annoying. Ive been searching for a solution the last couple hours but couldnt find anything anywhere. Im pretty annyoed by now and sadly im not hte only one with troubles. Pls fix this, before releasing another DLC!!

Fun, hilarious and above all Amerykan.
