Barn Finders
Search for valuables stashed in abandoned barns ranging from old clocks, musical instruments, antiques, gold, weaponry to even vintage cars and motorcycles and sell them for a profit. Run your family business. Look for valuable items and sell them in your pawnshop. Every item has a value, so collect everything and search everywhere! Bid on auctions and sales to get access to closed-off properties. Who knows what kind of dusty treasures you can find there? Visit 12 original locations and unearth their secrets in the land of Ammeryka (largely simmilar to the real America, but not quite). Barns are just the beginning. How about a visit to an old military base or . . . the moon? Take care of developing your shop. Empty shelves mean an empty wallet. Customers will come back if they have something to come back for. Fix found items, clean the dirty ones and sell them all. And if there are no customers, you can always play basketball in your backyard. And somehow, make money while playing.. Uncle Billy will keep you busy. Together you’ll explore different locations, but the real work is all for you to do. That is, until you go solo. Eventually. Being a real Barn Finder is a state of mind – a job for the brave and the bold. Your competitors are specialists and they are just waiting for you to slip up.

It's rather limited on maps (I've seen the developers in the forums talking they are making more stuff for the game still), but I had a blast taking the time to figure everything out. I wish there was MUCH more content, I feel the items were limited if you went back to explore or get more items for money.
Basically you go to a location, find all the items (and side items, if you wish). Sometimes they have little bid wars or puzzles to help you get the "job item" you were sent to the map to gather. The story is silly and out there, but it is perfect. The DLC felt a bit expensive for what you got, but overall it was a fun experience!
Great to play while watching a show and not to take serious! (Screw you basketball achievement!)

I have this rule of thumb when deciding if a game is worth it or not. If I can get at least one hour of fun for ever dollar spent, it was a worthwhile purchase. I grabbed it while it was on sale for 11 bucks. Got 12 hours of gameplay out of it before beating it. Had a lot of fun during those 12 hours. Devs have a good sense of humor. Would recommend. At least grab it while it's on sale.

While store management part isn't particularly thrilling, exploring new places and discovering hidden gems is always enjoyable.
You play a guy who comes to help his redneck uncle get his pawn store back on track. There isn't much to see because the entire area is filled with various boxes and certain areas that indicate you'll be able to purchase shelves and other updates. The story isn't important because it's barely there, and characters only speak gibberish with speech bubbles on screen. You'll meet some strange characters, and the plot may or may not include aliens and secret agents. What counts is gameplay.
The goal is to travel to abandoned locations across the country and take whatever valuables they may be hiding. A location is simply an area containing numerous items that may or may not be useful. It may require a lot of clicking and time, but looking for trash is beneficial because each one earns you extra money. Traveling to new locations uses gas, but this isn’t a big deal because you can travel for free once you beat it.
Although valuable things usually stand out from the crowd, you'll need to come up close to be certain. All worthless junk, such as barrels and boxes, can be picked up and thrown away because it may be blocking a passage or concealing something underneath. When you look at something valuable, the game immediately informs you by displaying "collectible" in the lower right corner. You can then take it to the pickup vehicle yourself or let your uncle handle it.
Picking up the item reveals some information about it. The most important thing is value. This is only an estimate; you can get more. The other information is size, which indicates whether an item can be displayed on a shelf or in a separate location, as well as the class it belongs to. Classes are only for collection purposes. There are over 100 distinct things across different categories, and you can fill out the catalogue at the shop.
Some items come in pieces that are worthless on their own. They are found in various locations, and you’ll have to assemble them to get the complete and very valuable item. Other pieces may be dirty or broken, requiring cleaning and repair before they may be sold. All of this may be completed back at the shop. There are also a variety of collectibles, including wall and floor designs for your shop, posters, and comic book pages.
The fun part about locations is that they might hide certain items. There is a bar that indicates how near you are to completing a place, but you may not have the necessary tools. These are purchased from a shop. Some of them include a flashlight for dark places and a shovel for digging. An axe is a useful tool that allows you to destroy worthless garbage for resources. These are required to complete repairs. A few tools can be purchased again to increase their efficiency. The most expensive one is a sonar, which allows you to locate stuff faster.
You can replay a location all you want. It will be stocked with new random valuables each time, but the garbage you collected the previous time will not return. Repeating locations is required because you need to bid a lot of money on some spots to be able to explore it. When you get back to the shop, you need to unload the items and place them on shelves. This does not involve much effort because you only need to point to a shelf or location and press a button. Customers will begin teleporting in as soon as you click the "open" sign.
There is always an interest in them, and you may sell anything straight away. By speaking with a customer, you can sell for the price or haggle for extra money. This is accomplished through a small mini-game in which you must stop a fast slider on a smiling face to receive the most money. While you can land on a sad face and lose money, the mini-game is quite simple. Customers will leave after a while, but this is only relevant if one of them is a thief. If you do not take care of him quickly, he will steal one of your things. Sometimes, a customer can also sell you stuff.
Overall, the game’s very fun to play. It can be a bit repetitive, but exploring new locations is fun because you don’t know what you’re going to find.

All the quirks in this game crack me up, the DLC's are worth it and it definitely keeps ya interested! Fun to kick back and play

This game is so damn stupid, but it's so great too. You can search locations multiple times courtesy of some visitors, so don't think each location is one and done. There's a great mix of locations, merchandise, game mechanics, and even a surprisingly good plot that does the opposite of taking itself seriously. It's not gonna win any GOTY awards, but if you wanna play as someone who looks like they're on a registry and find random crap to sell for obscene prices, then hop right in. The DLC is also better than I expected. The theme park isn't really a theme park, but it's perfectly suited to the game mechanics and is like a whole other game. To top it off, my 16 hours were all in a single sitting because I just couldn't stop playing. I'm not even finished yet!

Storyline makes no sense and too much dialogue... either way a good pick if you are a middle aged white woman stuck watching StorageWars
