BallisticNG is an action packed anti-gravity racer developed as a lover letter to the original Wipeout trilogy. Set in the year 2159 you glide through futuristic race courses armed to the teeth with deadly weapons to aid you in taking first place. カスサン対応してるので Underworld の Tin There や Kittens を放り込んで遊んでいます。
子供のころ夢中でやり込んだ Wipeout XL の感覚が甦ります。
久々に良い買い物をしました。

初代PS時代のワイプアウトの挙動が好きだった人間にとっては、
替えがきかない唯一無二のゲーム。
反重力レースゲーも今では色々とありますが、初期ワイプアウトの浮遊感のある挙動が好きな身からすると、あれに近い挙動を味わえるゲームはこのゲーム以外に見た事がないです。
(逆に後期ワイプに近い挙動のものは腐るほどある)
なお一応後期ワイプっぽい挙動を再現したモードもあるので、
よくばりさんにもやさしい。
もう上記の時点で自分にとっては神ゲーでしかありませんが、ゲーム性以外にもマシンデザイン・サウンド・MODなど様々な面が充実していて隙がなく、一度購入すれば末永く堪能出来ます。
キャンペーンも別に無理にやる必要はなく、やりたい時に好きなコースとマシンで最速クラス(zen)でドライブするだけで最高にハイになれます。好きな人間にとっては、プレイできるドラッグみたいなもんです。
ワークショップでコース等もどんどん増えるので、味変も色々できて本当に飽きない。
なおパッドでのプレイも十分楽しいですが、フライトスティックなんかでも遊ぶ事ができます。キーコンフィグは自分で設定する必要がありますがピッチ操作がある分、ステアリングコントローラーよりもこっちの方がより没入感はありますね。
ともあれ、初期ワイプに近い浮遊感とスピード感を求める方なら買って損はしない名作です。そういうのがお好きな方は是非。
