The game is fun, but it's got enough problems functioning that this shouldn't have been launched in 1.0 quite yet. Saying it's got full controller support just isn't right. The menus go 1-100 making it super hard to navigate anything. There's no way to check your items with a controller mid run, if you want to select the middle item good luck as again the left to right is crazy sensitive with inputs and there's no alternatives to check your items once you start with a controller. This also becomes a test in frustration when trying to use the cannon to choose a location to blast back to as well. There's no mid-run saves on standard difficulty so get ready for a sit down if you want to make it all the way through. Also the developer only seems to talk via his discord which isn't a great look for a new game when all the questions are going unanswered in your community hub / current reviews. Honestly in probably a few months this game will be great as the bones to it are fantastic but there's way too much polish that really needs to be done before I'd recommend people putting up with the menu's and UI if you're a controller player atm.
Edit: controls have been fixed, there's still some other problems, but the games getting to a better place now

Fun game with many similarities to Enter the Gungeon but with its own identity.
The core mechanic of using enemies bullets against them as your main form of damage was much more fun than I expected.
I was able to complete all the achievements in ~10 hours but there’s definitely more game to experience than what there are achievements for.
My only real con with the game is that it’s not uncommon to get a combo of items that creates so many bullets during certain boss fights that the game slows to an unplayable point. Had it happen 3-4 times across my playtime. Of those times, only one was so bad I had to restart the game. Others resolved themselves.
TLDR: Some polishing needed, but the gameplay is there and fun if you like bullet hells and roguelike similar to ETG or Isaac with crazy synergies

Strongly recommend this game for anyone who likes roguelikes and bullet hell games, it's very fun. Each character has an entirely unique way of playing that makes the whole game feel different. Items feel relatively unique and are very streamlined.
However the game definitely lacks polish, which isn't too bad considering how new it is. My biggest personal issue is the sheer lack of visual clarity, I generally get hit either because I can't differentiate my bullets from the enemies or they just blend into the environment or the constant flashy effects your character makes. Another big one is getting dropped directly on an enemy entering a stage so you immediately take damage, it's not constant but it happens enough that it feels pretty unfair. Bosses seem to attack behind text boxes as well.
It's a really unique breath of fresh air but I can definitely see these problems wearing me down, might have to wait for an update or two but definitely recommend at least keeping an eye on it.

Did not expect to be so enthralled by the game-play but turns out it's really addictive!
I love the quirky designs and humour too, you can tell a lot of love went into this lil' gem.
Honestly the price is a steal, and it's even on discount at the moment of this review - I really recommend giving this game a spin if you're on the fence.

An instant classic with an extremely charming pixel art style! Such a clever idea to push the bullet hell genre by rewarding bullet grazing with the ability to send bullets back at enemies, fell in love with it on the first play through. I'd recommend Asterogues to anyone who enjoys The Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon or Nuclear Throne.
Super keen to see more updates!

From its simple game mechanics, interesting characters to unlock and play with, up to humorous NPC dialogues and exciting game progression, all that will make you fall in love with the game.
I enjoyed collecting enemies "pew-pew", and shoot em' right back to their faces. Ha!

Fun, interesting, less polish than other twin stick shooter roguelikes, but captivating enough to keep going. The character abilities are neat, don't even think about regular weapons after a short time playing.
The progression map is a little overwhelming.
The stage 1 music is atrocious, which is kinda a big deal considering its the stage most players will become familiar with; their memories of the game are shaped to some degree by the music, which in this case is unpleasant and distracting.
