Very short, very underrated, but also very fun. If you loved Black Flag, this is literally spin off expansion and good bridge between AC4 - AC3 - AC Unity.

Assassins Rogue is a really underrated game in the Assassin’s Creed series. Playing as a Templar instead of an Assassin was a very interesting idea and made the story feel different from the other games. Shay is a great main character, and his transformation during the story was honestly really enjoyable to watch.
The gameplay feels very similar to Black Flag, which is a good thing because the ship battles and exploration are really fun. Sailing through icy areas and exploring different locations gives the game a unique atmosphere compared to other Assassin’s Creed titles.
The combat is smooth, the story is interesting, and the darker tone of the game makes it stand out from the rest of the series. Even though the game is a bit shorter than other Assassin’s Creed games, it still feels memorable and enjoyable from start to finish.
Overall, Assassin’s Creed Rogue is one of the most underrated Assassin’s Creed games and definitely deserves more appreciation.

Super gierka, usprawniono niektóre mechaniki z black flag. Polecam, 50h i 100% ukończone, wszystkie osiągnięcia

I have a weird history (ha!) with this AC instalment. Knowing, this is the only game you can play as the good guys, I was really going to enjoy it. But! I decided to play Unity first (was a good game!) and I got burned out on the franchise for about five years. But recently I've heard the voice of father of understanding that the time is ripe for Rouge. And, hell, has that voice not came in timely fashion. I knew that will be my favourite AC ever, and I was not mistaken. But after 5 years of AC withdrawal, I can see how Ubisoft struck gold with this type of game: it's based on history (more or less) and boy there is so many historical themes to venture through.
Ok. I've enjoyed Rogue tremendously, so much so, that I'll still play it till I get collectibles. There are not many negatives for the AC: R, but there are some:
Pros:
- It is just like Black Flag only better, because the story makes sense. Everything good about AC: BF is here.
- The story: it's so well written. It has a lot of emotional impact for the protagonist, you really feel for Shay. He's not just like: "They made me kill thousands of innocent people. I'll murder them all. Raaaaar!" No. It's very humanly conducted turn from the Assassin who had assassins friends to the Templar who is hunting them - all based on a massive tragedy.
- The historical feel. AC is good with it in general, and European XVIII century is generally pleasant to look at fashion, weapons, and architecture wise. It's just fun to roam around and about and look around, and pet the pets.
- Nice combos during fight.
- Game does not force it, but hints at not killing anybody other than the target and not engage in open conflict. That's a minor touch, but I like it when the game pushes for more stealth and consideration for NPCs lives. ;)
- Shay is a great protagonist.
- Haytham Kenway.
- Playing as a Templar. (Seriously, they need some series of their own, of Templar assassins hunters formation or precursor relic hunters).
- Music!
Cons:
- Way too short (story wise, not the repetitive tasks)
- Due to poorly marketing and Unity, it is the most overshadowed gaming gem ever.
- Freaking modern days intervals. It could be limited to some voice cut-ins from the Abstergo, not actually taking us out of immersion.
- Yeah, it can get repetitive, but that is an AC curse from the starts and probably also why you get to enjoy it after you're done with the detox from it.
Overall, though, my fav AC game. Gets all the action well from previous games, all the eye candy, but the story — here it shines.

Gra nawet spoko. Niezła fabuła i całkiem spory otwarty świat. W porządku dla graczy, którzy lubią bitwy morskie. Polecam.
