Ashen

Over the course of three years, bro and I managed to finish this game.
I have no idea what the ending is about, but I hated the runback to the final boss.
Besides that, awesome game.
10/10 would spend the next three years with it again.

People saying that Co-op isn't working are just lost and they know it, they just had to finish the tutorial alone.
But for real it's a alright experience for a one time playthrough with a friend, we had fun.

Es macht Spaß, mit einem Freund zusammenzuspielen, sich gegenseitig zu helfen und die Welt von Ashen zu erkunden.
Was mich allerdings enttäuscht hat, war der DLC des Spiels, den ich mit meinem Freund in 2 Stunden geschafft habe. Der Endboss des Dlc hatte leider nur 2 Mechaniken und war sehr einfach zu legen.

It took us three years to finish the game, so I have no idea what the ending was about.
The world design is beautiful, the characters are great, and the co-op gameplay is really fun.
Negatives:
- The runbacks are terrible.
- The weapon variety is really limited — sizes of clubs or swords. You can’t
really invest in or build around a weapon because a better version shows up right around the
corner.
- Loot mostly consists of upgrade materials and small healing items, that really or have way to
much off
Despite that, we can definitely recommend it as a co-op game! I didnt try Single player mode.

Before you continue to read reviews you can trust my opinion, who has put nearly 90 hours into that game and had beaten it 4 or 3 times.
I just dont understand people on Steam that write reviews about this game were they dont recommend it. I dont understand them because many times it is talked about the game crashing or some personal problems!
For me this is a great game with a really unique Artstyle and world. The Combat is like Dark Souls that is true, but how many OTHER succesful Soulslikes have'nt done the same! I like that, in Ashen you progress through Quests, but also get rewarded for exploring. The Bossfights are also really good, some of them could compete with other famous Dark Souls Bosses, i bet! What i wished through out the experience was that you could Upgrade your Armor and Shields. For the Companion in the game i would say, great for one Enemy, terrible for multiple ones.
To sum up, the game is a bit to short and some things would need a bit of polishment but A44 and Anapurna Interactive did a really great Job with that game. Only wished they had released Ashen 2 instead of Flintlock.
And for everyone else, stop hating on this Game because you just dont have a good Computer, i played this Game on a LAPTOP and it played completely smooth, for most of the time.
edited: there are some flaws but for the first publishment of a little game studio, that is awesome.
