Aria Chronicle - 100% Completion Review
Score: 7.5/10
Aria Chronicle is a Turn Based RPG about a princess on her royal pilgrimage that quickly turns into a quest to save the world from destruction and redeem those forgotten, after fully completing this game i'll give some Pro's, Neutrals and Con's.
PRO'S:
-Protagonist is well designed, stylish and cute
-Lots of different classes to pick from for main character giving lots of choice
-Can recruit lots of different heroes to build out a party how ever you want
-Heroes are well designed and stylish
-Good monster designs
-Good artwork and environments
-Good music
-Good x-appeal, doesn't shy away from the spice
-Good story with plenty of twists and turns
-Can upgrade the town as you play with each upgrade giving you a passive bonus
-Portraits, animations and characters in battle are all animated
-Each Hero has a passive ability that helps on expeditions, along with other various personality traits that can be removed with gold if you don't like them
-Strong amount of replayablity
-Good performance, no lag, crashes or bugs
NEUTRAL'S: "No Score Change From These"
-Voice acting is in Japanese, text is in English, i don't mind this just an Fyi
-Warrior and Paladin Heroes are a bit too bulky in their designs
-Town doesn't change as you upgrade it, which is a bit of a shame
-Game is overall pretty casual in terms of difficulty, utilizes level scaling
CON'S:
-Settings are very limited, no way to change UI scale or various other in game elements
-No way to rest until day when it's nighttime, forcing you to go out at night
-Some of the classes feel a bit weak compared to others
-Messages go by far too quick making it difficult to read them
-Bosses replenish armor too easily
Overall Aria Chronicle is a pretty good Dungeon Crawler game, it has tons of replayablity and it's casual nature means it can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone, fun game and i think it's worth buying if your a fan of Party Based RPG's and Dungeon Crawlers, but as always, It's.. Up.. To.. You and i'll leave it at that. (^_−).

There's a little gem of a game and a very pleasant surprise for me. Kinda like Darkest Dungeon, but not so grim and, if you find the synergies between heroes, not so hard either.
The game has a story as well, but nothing special. You simply must beat the bad guys.
The battles are turn based and you can have a maximum of 5 team mates. Sometimes you must bring a particular hero in a dungeon, but more often than not, you don't.
The classes are somewhat original, not the usual fare, but not spectacular. For example the Amazon can change shape in a leopard and damage the first line of enemies, also making them bleed, and the rogue can do a lot of damage to bleeding enemies. There are a lot of skills and you can employ a lot of strategies/tactics to beat the bosses and the mobs.
Among the Darkest Dungeon-like games, I think that this is the best one.
Pros:
- lots of heroes to choose from with somewhat original skills and synergies
- nice graphics and soundtrack
- engaging gameplay
- very replayable with different heroes
- long
- that gratifying feeling when you find a synergy between heroes and then do huge damage
Cons:
- like in DD, the dungeons have a lot of negative events. At first they are not so crippling and you can easily manage them. But in the endgame, you really can't find enough potions and materials to alleviate the negative effects from these events, especially the poison/lava cloud (which can't be avoided most of the times) and become more and more frequent. So the challenge of the game becomes How or where can I find the means to heal the team after these events and not How to beat the enemies.

Good Darkest Dungeon clone with a cute but generic story, but if you play this play on normal mode.
Finished the game on hard, and I had a lot of near wipes due to enemies just CC locking me, which just isnt fun. Becomes a bit of a grind fest and making sure you overstock on potions to not die.
