Arcane Wilds

Arcane Wilds is a RTS that focuses on co-op missions similar to the co-op mode in Starcraft 2.
It's a lot of fun to play missions with friends, upgrade your home island base and to see how high you can set the difficulty and still beat the mission.
Besides the missions, you can play custom skirmishes against other players or the AI with the 3 main factions.
For me personally the most exciting part of the game is its full mod support.
The entire game logic is exposed in Lua and the game has a Steam Workshop that supports custom maps (think custom maps like in Warcraft 3 or the Arcade in Starcraft 2).
This means it's possible to create completely new game modes. I had a lot of fun modding the game. Which is where the majority of my hours playing the game is coming from.

Fun RTS with a unique resource mechanic bring wood to construction sites and essence into battle to cast spells. Like any RTS, learning tech trees and counters takes some time, but that’s what makes it so engaging.

Well let me start off with, I have played the playtest and demo, and have loved this game from the start. I have had a great time playing today in coop missions, got the honour of being able to assist with some crash issues. Learned a lot about the game and was able to provide feedback. Dev is super awesome and receptive. Game is a really great blend of a lot of features i love in the RTS field. I truly appreciate an RTS that offers the versatility while also being engaging. Really enjoy the different factions as well. Hope for more factions and more awesome features. Strongly suggest giving it a go if you live playing SC2 feeling coops. There are also some pretty cool mods out as well. Six thumbs way way up.

It’s been a while since I last played an RTS game, as the genre has felt a bit stale. I’m really glad I gave this indie gem a shot! The demo won me over with its fresh take on some core RTS mechanics.
I haven’t tried Multiplayer yet, but the resource-stealing mechanic must result in fantastically chaotic and exciting games! :D
The developers seem super active, and I’m excited to see how the game evolves from here.
