i waited for my friend for 5 years till he buys a pc so we play this coop and we did 10/10 game worth the 5 year

Good game! Don't play on Steam Deck.
The term "Shadow Assassin" is likely to evoke an image, perhaps of a specific archetype, within ones head. Aragami takes that image and lets you play as it. Leap to and from shadows cast by just about anything around, throw kunai, summon black holes, turn invisible, or even just use some shadowy pocket sand. Zip through levels undetected. Take no lives. Take all lives. The choice is yours.
Aragami is not a super hardcore stealth game, it's just a fun stealth game. Every new ability lets you get more creative with how you navigate the levels. Actual movement doesn't change too much, but newer offensive and defensive capabilities allow you to segue into easier mobility. Replaying levels after getting powered up is even more fun than carefully stealthing through them the first time around, in my opinion. Going back for the Yurei/Oni/Kami medals where necessary was a surprisingly enjoyable undertaking as well.
Visual style here is pretty nice, except for the characters' mouths not moving. The game has some nice "hand-drawn" cutscenes sprinkled throughout. HOWEVER, I had to watch them all on YouTube because I played through the campaign on Steam Deck. The issue with the games drawn cutscenes on Arch Linux distros has been acknowledged by the devs for a few years now, and is unlikely to be fixed. I think Steam should probably demote this to "Playable" from "Verified," as while the game plays fine I wouldn't call it "Great On Deck."

Solid Ninja Mode Game. Love the Stealth and Assassinations.
Love the art style and overall smoothness of everything.
Sad to see the devs shutting down their studio but it was a fun run.

Sharing my walkthrough with Ututa.
It was a great adventure done with my partner Ututin. A good action game in my opinion.
Summary:
Aragami is a third-person stealth action video game developed by Spanish studio Lince Works. The game was released in 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
In Aragami, the player takes on the role of an undead assassin summoned by a mysterious girl named Yamiko. The player's goal is to rescue Yamiko from the Kaiho, a clan of warriors who have taken her captive, while unraveling the secrets of Yamiko's past.
The game features a unique mechanic called Shadow Control, which allows the player to manipulate the shadows to their advantage. The player can teleport between shadows, create areas of darkness to hide in, and even summon creatures of shadow to distract or attack enemies.
As a stealth game, the player must use their abilities and the environment to avoid detection by the Kaiho warriors. The player can assassinate enemies from behind, hide in tall grass, and even use the environment to set traps.
Aragami also features co-op multiplayer, allowing two players to work together to complete the campaign or take on special challenges designed for two players.
Overall, Aragami is a challenging and atmospheric stealth game that offers a unique take on the genre with its Shadow Control mechanic.

One of my favorite stealth games!

Aragami is one of the few stealth games that are actually worth playing and here are the reasons why:
Co-op : This game is fully playable with a friend online and it's a ton of fun. The only downside is the respawn system as you need a checkpoint to revive your ally. So if you die right after the game is saved (which is automatic), you'll be looking at your friend for a looooong time.
Abilities : There are a good variety of abilities to choose from and you can unlock them in any order you like. They are divided into defensive and offensive abilities which can be complementary if you play with a friend! You can unlock new skills by finding scrolls throughout the levels. I liked this mechanic, for the most part it encourages the player to explore the level and it's not too grindy as you have an ability that allows you to see scrolls through walls.
Gameplay : This may sound silly, but I really liked the idea of the assassin using shadows as a power source. All your abilities must be cast in the shadows; you must manage your "shadow meter" which is displayed on your cloak. Of course, you have to avoid the light and the enemies will carry it a lot...
The gameplay itself is very fluid, fast and responsive and you can combine the abilities in different ways to suit your play style: total stealth or an all-out killing spree.
Story : Not too much to say here, the story is ok, quite predictable even and the final boss is slightly disappointing. It doesn't really matter for this game in my opinion as the gameplay and cooperation are the two main points.
Issues : Although the game is great, there are problems. Besides the respawn system, I feel like the AI is not the best. One time they're borderline blind and the other time they're all hawk-eyed and see you from across the room. It's frustrating at times because you only have one HP, so dying out of nowhere can be frustrating.
Conclusion : A great stealth game! There are slight similarities to Dishonored, and again, the co-op option is the best for me. Also, the style is great and the gameplay emphasizes the stealth aspect, unlike other games in the genre. If you're a fan of stealth games, this is a game not to be missed!

"Life is better in the shadows."
Aragami is a vengeful spell summoned from the shadows that sets out to save its creator and kill her opponents. The story is quite minimalistic, but it is absolutely enough for the needs of the game.
The game is set in feudal Japan. In addition to flamboyant enemies in period clothing, there are traditional Japanese scenes such as pagodas, red arched torii gates, various gold ornaments, futons, paper walls and pink cherry trees. The game environment is vast, but rather austere. I don't know if it was an artistic intention, but the result looks good.
The absence of a combat system (except for stealth killing from the shadows), together with a bunch of unseen abilities and a vast environment, through which there are always more than two paths, can also conjure up a wonderful stealth adventure. In short, Aragami is a nice stealth surprise. 20%
