Amid Evil ist ein First Person Shooter der stark an Heretic oder Hexen erinnert. Die Grafik ist sehenswert, die Steuerung genau und auch der Sound genügt den gehobenen Ansprüchen. In Anbetracht des günstigen Preises (inclusive The Black Labyrinth um unter 9 Euro) ist dieses Spiel eine Empfehlung wert.

Amid Evil has a special place in my boomer shooter-filled heart.
Gameplay-wise it is very much Quake, down to the difficulty setting. However, instead of going for that brownish, industrial dark fantasy aesthetic that is often seen nowadays, especially in retro fps, Amid Evil creates flashy, sometimes gloomy, but always absolutely magnificent levels with amazing arquitecture and beautiful lighting. I would recommend this game to literally EVERYONE, shooter enthusiast or not, just for the art style.

Richtig geiler Shooter im Stil von Heretic & Hexen. Die Levels sind der absolute Hammer! Genial designt, solche geilen Levels habe ich in noch keinem anderen Shooter gesenen. Sehr abwechslungsreich und groß. Auch im DLC The Black Labyrinth gibt es so coole Neuerungen und auch wieder Großartige Levels! Es gibt ne Demo, wo man erstmal testen kann. Man kann die Schriftart ändern die ist etwas Schwierig zu lesen. Und das Vorletzte Level vom Hauptspiel war etwas frustig, aber auch sehr cool gemacht. Es gibt viele coole Waffen, die nen 2. Feuermodus haben und auch Secrets zu entdecken! Die Gegner waren auch alle gut. Ihr solltet das unbedingt mal ausprobieren, wenn ihr Shooter mit Magie mögt!

One of the most beautiful games to come out of the boomer shooter era. The levels feel vast and crafted with lots of love. Combat is slower than most other games of its kind, but it's still good.
