Alien On The RadarAmogus But ComplexThis game is a modified rendition of the classic game, Hide and Seek, with a more intricate gameplay structure similar to that of Among Us. The game's concept is quite intriguing and, surprisingly, it hasn't gained more attention in the gaming community. In fact, it can be considered an underrated gem.About This Game Storyline So, here's the deal with this game - I'm pretty sure there's no storyline whatsoever. But, what we do know is that it's all about Aliens and Marines duking it out. And get this - it's strictly a multiplayer game! I guess the devs figured they didn't need a storyline for a multiplayer title, and honestly, they're not wrong. Smart move, if you ask me.Gameplay MechanicsWhen you put it up against Among Us, this game has a boatload more gameplay mechanics. Sure, it can be a tad overwhelming at first, but once you start getting the hang of things, it's a total blast. The game's kinda banking on you picking up all its features in a jiffy, but if you do, you're in for a treat. Let’s now jump into the core mechanics:Playing As A MarineAs a Marine, your main objective is to just survive until the timer runs out to secure a win. You can also attain victory by locating and killing all the invisible aliens before they kill you. So, what can you actually do? Firstly, you’re armed with two weapons; a Pistol and a Machine gun. The pistol has unlimited ammo while the machine gun’s bullets are transient. You have access to a machine that is like a crafting station of some sort which can be used to make Machine Gun bullets or a Time-Skip power up which obviously reduces the timer by a few seconds bringing victory closer to you. But once you choose what you want to craft, you are unable to craft the other option using the same machine until it gets broken. You have a dash-like ability that has a short cooldown. If you lose all your hearts, you will not be kicked from the game. You can still move around but you won’t be able to do anything. This is basically their twist on the spectator mode for players who die before the game ends. If you stand still for a second, your character will emit a sonar of some sort that will give you clues on where the aliens or their eggs are at. This radar-like ability becomes stronger as time passes by. Playing as a marine is actually quite fun since you can just spam bullets hoping to hit an Alien by mistake. But it gets a bit scary when you suddenly get attacked by an alien. Although you get a visual cue about an enemy nearby, it’s kinda hard to exactly pinpoint where the alien dude is at. This is a good thing since it balances the game. Playing As An AlienFrom the looks of it, the aliens are the bad guys. So yeah, if you like playing as an antagonist, then you should really hope you get chosen for the role of the alien. Your main objective is obviously to kill all the marines before the time runs out. These are the mechanics that you have to rely on in order to achieve victory: You have the same movement and dash mechanics that the Marine has. As an alien, you don’t have a firearm. You’re stuck with only melee attacks. But one attack is enough to knock down a heart from a marine. But this also means that you are forced to engage in extremely close-range combat with the marines who have the ability to detect you if you’re close by. Risky but you have no other choice. You also have the ability to spawn eggs which either hatch into minions or an artillery unit that attacks item makers. The game’s page talks about a breeder egg too but I’ve not seen it yet. Each egg has three stages; the first stage is invisible from enemies, the second stage allows the marines to detect them and shoot them & the final stage is when they turn into minions, artillery, or breeders. You can also attack item makers which will prevent marines from crafting stuff for a while and adds to the total available time giving the alien more time to kill the marines. If you lose all your hearts as an alien, you also become a ghost. But this also marks the end of the game, giving the win to the Marines. Playing as an alien is extremely challenging and requires a lot of patience and skill which I lack. So yes, I naturally struggled to win. But it does pose a good challenge. It’s a bit more exciting to play when compared to playing as a marine due to the presence of multiple threats. Visuals and SoundThe game uses a dull pixel art style which is pretty interesting as it’s not very attractive but it still works. I think it’s probably because the overall game’s theme is kinda dark with the alien killing marines and stuff. Their main menu is very minimalistic. I am not sure if that’s good or not. I expected a lot more flair tbh.I was taken aback when I heard the main menu's background music. I am not sure if it’s an original song but it did remind me of a darker version of the nursery rhyme that goes something like “1,2,3 let’s play hide and seek”. But yeah, it’s pretty creepy. Kudos to the sound design team for creeping me out. Pros Pretty interesting and kinda unique gameplay mechanics. Simple and minimalistic pixel art visuals. Creative sound design. Multiplayer with an option to play with bots. Since it’s kind of a multiplayer-only game, it offers an infinite replayability rate. Cons Multiplayer-only game but it’s dead. Could use a bit more flair. The game feels kinda dull and boring visually. ConclusionWould I play this with my friends? Voluntarily, no. But if I was bored and had no other choice, then sure, I don’t mind. I am not sure why this game is paid since it has a dead player base. No one would be willing to pay money to buy a multiplayer game with literally zero active players. I’d recommend they make the game free-to-play so that they can first build a player base. After that, they can worry about whether to make the game paid or not. I do not recommend buying the game as of now. This doesn’t mean the game is bad, it’s just dead. But I still stand by my words, the game is seriously underrated. Reviewer: MidplayzI can still hear the main menu music at night when I am trying to sleep….Rating: 6/10 (Recommended because of gameplay but not recommended since it’s dead. The choice is yours) Please follow United Critics for the full review & more quality reviews.

Absolutely loving the look and combat. It is tactical and fun.
As a pixel art fiend I cannot give it less than a 9/10 for aesthetics and a 9/10 for gameplay.

interesting game, I'm curious why not much people played this. It's a a pixel version of alien vs marines, and I can say it's well designed, didn't meet much bugs during game play, recommended.

Fascinating! it's the most interesting pixel game that I've seen in this year, although, there's only one map I think, but I can choose which side to role play, quite fun!

The inteligence of bot are even higher than me! LOL, I rarely wins, but it seems really fun, it will be better if there's more or bigger maps in the future, that would be more like a AVP game, cheer up!

Fun challenging little shooter. After about 10 rounds I finally beat the aliens! I enjoyed the intro music, and the gameplay was enjoyable. Couldn't get an online match, but the local play was just as good playing against the bots.

Gameplay: Overall Alien Radar is a fun game. Playing a Marine gives a good horror vibe of never truly knowing where the Aliens are while trying to survive. While playing the Aliens gives a Dead by Daylight killer vibe. Best to stay together as the Marines and Spam as many eggs as you can as the Alien.
Music: The music a very well done. I suggest adding a volume slider.
Settings: Well-made and easy to navigate. Adding in a Full-screen/Windowed toggle would be great.
Overall I give it a good review but wouldn't recommend until a bigger player base is established.
