Aeloren Tactics
Aeloren Tactics is an SRPG reminiscent of old-school Fire Emblem games and the Falnarion Tactics series.
Play as a young bandit girl named Clairena who has a mysterious
past that forces her to struggle internally with both the people
she was raised with and the people she is hunting.
For generations it seemed that the Orgahta bandits have despised
the people of the Estelda Kingdom.
They have been looting, raiding and hating them
for as long as they have existed.
Their reasoning is simple; they feel outcast-ed and treated like
dirt simply because they are less fortunate.
The nobles of Estelda Kingdom lead lavish, comfortable
lifestyles and are seen as the beacon of light
in the world of Tetsyunia.
They are however, masking a deep dark secret that could change the
fate of the world forever upon many other evil things.
Who is really good? Who is really bad? Who will you believe?
Find out in Aeloren Tactics.

This game is the very definition of why you shouldn't take reviews too seriously.
I read the reviews and thought of not getting this. Boy, were they wrong. One of the reviews complains about grammar. I don't see it. In fact, that guy's grammar is atrocious. Secondly, the developer states that the font makes the capital "H" look lower case. So, that explains a bit. Also the other reviews about the game being too hard? You have multiple characters that have one hit kill items across the map at the start of the game. Also the side missions were very easy and my people are very strong. It just sounds like people are not actually playing the game and are quick to leave negative feedback. So, I just have to say... play the game. You won't be upset.

I am a huge SRPG fan, especially with Fire Emblem. I use SRPG Studio, the engine where this game was made very often. I am impressed with how the boundaries of the engine were pushed. This is a great SRPG experience. But there was one problem, the difficulty. This game can be either really simple in certain maps, but really difficult in a lot of maps. (especially chapters 2, 4, and 10) Chapter 4 I legitimately got stuck on for an hour. The positive that balances out the difficulty is that there is no permadeath and there are many resources given to you like damaging items, tons of money, and my favorite, which was the Bravery Default item, which makes your protagonist not cause a Game Over if killed. The unit balance was all over the place, too. I found characters like Jim and most of the mages and quest unlock characters very underwhelming. Characters like Yumino, Seren, and Xemnas carried my run. Yumino especially. Yumino gets a skill called Charm, which lets enemies attack other enemies and ignore you for 3 turns. This is pretty much the only way I beat chapters 4 and 10. The only way I beat the 3 final bosses was by using the bow used by the ballistician traded to Yumino to outrange and Charm everything, slowly chipping them down.
But wow, this was a great experience despite its flaws and I can't wait to jump in to Falnarion Tactics 1-3.
Definitely would recommend to any SRPG fans, but only if you have played SRPGs before.
Team Sykuno, if you see this please add some balance patches to weaken some enemies, most of the enemies HP was way too high!
