Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a game for fans of the show.
A lot of friends and enemies from the series get a role and some moments provide fun references that only a fan would pick up but are also funny for other players.
In addition to the franchise, the game is quite entertaining, turn based combat system and colorful visuals, the penultimate one disappoints me a bit.
The game also works well on a steam deck:
Pirates of the Enchiridion gives the player an open world to explore and fans of the show will certainly appreciate this.
However, as you get further and further into the game you come to the conclusion that many of the locations are reused and you simply sail up and down between various small islands, a bit like in many other adventure games.
Considering the wealth of lore of the show, this was quite a letdown and makes the game feel cheap at times, but it remains a Finn & Jake adventure.
When you're not fighting or exploring, you sometimes have to interrogate different characters.
This is basically a choice where you choose between a "good cop" or "bad cop". Are you nice or mean?
The correct answer to this question is often quite easy to figure out, as the game immediately tells you the right approach. What if you choose the wrong option?
Do not worry; next time you can choose the right one again.

Awesome graphics, great storyline, amazing gameplay, PERFECT game. Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion beats Elden Ring, GTA V, Hollow Knight, and any CIV game in quality and overall enjoyment. If I could, I would turn this game into a real-life human and eat it.

I really like Adventure Time, and although I'm extremely upset that the Cartoon Network mobile game Card Wars 1 and 2 were taken down, this fills the gap in my heart for a good Adventure Time game. It's a quick game ngl, My time is 12.3 hours on record and I'm only missing like 2 or 3 achievements. Overall 4/5 because it's good.

Really fun little game! In a very impressive move for this sort of game, it actually gets the Ice Kingdom and Candy Kingdom out of the way during the earliest parts of the game, then proceeds to spend the rest of the game fleshing out some of the lesser-seen areas from the show like the Fire Kingdom, and even making up entirely NEW locations to explore.
Another remarkable thing about the game is that it's actually set in Season 10!! The game's plot takes place explicitly in Season 10 of the show, with events from that time period being directly relevant to the plot. I think this may genuinely be the only Adventure Time game where Finn's even got the robo arm. This is a really nice change of pace from the usual nebulous Season 1 state that AT games usually are, you won't be spending all your time in the Grasslands fighting Donny and the Dungeon Cat in this one. Though, considering that, it's sad that Huntress Wizard doesn't show up at all.
Gameplay-wise, there's a shocking amount of incentive to play as specific characters in the overworld even when it's not time to use their Paper Mario-style partner abilities. Whoever you're currently playing as when you enter a battle acts as your opener, with that character getting the first attack, so you'll want to be switching between them based on both the enemy types you're encountering in an area and also the first move you'll want to do. If a game gives me the option to play as my boy Finn I will pretty much never swap away from him, but I spent a decent amount of time as Jake or BMO later in the game, depending on if I wanted to open with Jake's whirlwind or charging up my energy with BMO.
I've seen some complaints about the game's length in reviews here, so I'll go ahead and mention that I'm just below 12 hours at the time of this review, and I've completed most side quests but still have a fair few achievements left to do. It's a game that's best played with a sense of whimsy and making your own fun sometimes, my advice is to try to stop and just take it in rather than rushing straight through it all. Also stand beside one of the speakers in the Candy Kingdom, there's an insane amount of dialogue that comes from that thing.
All in all, if you like Adventure Time actively, then you're gonna like this at least on a writing level since it's very close to the show. It made for a great lighthearted experience while deep in the way more heavy Fionna & Cake episodes.

very nice game, i have a lot of fun playing it, overall very recommendable, nice atmosphere and nice combat gameplay
tho i have a few cons about this game:
- the only graphic options are: Resolution, Fullscreen, and Vsync, nothing more
- the max resolution you can choose ingame is "1920x1080"
but there is a way you can get a higher resolution than that (if you wanna know how just follow my guide here:
