Über das SpielVarsha is a young witch who has just graduated high school. While their friends were off jet setting and travelling around the world, Varsha had to go back to their hometown Lynnsdale to take care of their grandparents who ran a small magic store. There were two major issues though: one, magic is strictly banned and two, their grandparents store is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Play as Varsha as you try to revive your grandparent’s store, avoid scrutiny by the authorities, and find love—all in one summer.

As virtual novels go, "A Pinch of Magic" is definitely worth a read. Even though the story itself is rather short, the writing makes up for it, delivering a plausible tale with a relateable MC and two love interests with their own motivations and characteristics.
The artwork is nice, while a bit too purple, but that's probably just me.
I like the possibility to choose pronouns in the beginning, however, as far as I can tell it doesn't influence the gameplay. Chosing a female or male sprite only influences the visual aspect of the game, not the writing. But I think it works, I played both a female and male character and didn't find the dialogues off either way.
Overall it's a well made VN and I enjoyed reading it.
