A Hat in Time is a cute-as-heck 3D platformer featuring a little girl who stitches hats for wicked powers. A little girl and her spaceship In A Hat in Time you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big tophat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel, the Time Pieces, is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight and stitch new hats to make her way into every nook and cranny of this new world in order to restore her fuel and resume her journey. On her way, she'll bump into the menacing Mafia of Cooks, the goofy birds of Dead Bird Studio, the spooky shadows of Subcon Forest, and more! Murder on a train! Parades! Trespassing in a movie studio? Every mission in A Hat in Time is unique! At one moment you'll be solving the Murder on the Owl Express by finding clues and interrogating the locals, the next moment you'll be the band marshal in The Big Parade, or sneaking through the bird-run Dead Bird Studio!

間違いなく3Dプラットフォームの傑作です。
子供のころにやり尽くしたマ〇オ64を思い出すようなわくわくとどきどきが詰まっている。
本編クリアしてからもMODで無限に遊べる

”愛”を感じるよね......
豊富な着せ替え、質の高いBGM、快適な操作性、興味深い演出、細かい仕様など...「開発者はこのゲームを本当に愛しているんだなぁ」と感じられるようなゲーム。
ステージ3以降は（DLC含めて）ボスが存在しないため、その点のみ残念ではあるが、これは間違いなく良いゲームだ。

3D箱庭ゲー。ジャンプがふんわりしているおかげで操作難易度は低め。
全体的にテンポがよいのに加えステージごとに様々にテイストが異なるので飽きにくかった。
似ているゲームが何かという話しでマリオ64派とマリオサンシャイン派がいるけど、下記の理由で個人的にはサンシャインの方がより近いと思う。
同じステージでもActごとに専用の展開が用意されている。
複数の特殊アクションを都度切り替えて攻略する（サンシャインのノズル切替みたいなイメージ。あっちより種類多め）。
マリオに比べれば全体のボリュームは控えめではあるが、セール価格やMod拡張とかを踏まえれば十分だと思う。
気軽に3Dアクションゲーをやりたい人におすすめ。

翻訳に関して、他のレビューでは何か色々言われていますが今は質の高い日本語訳がついているので問題ないと思います。
このゲームを買ったときは、他のゲームのついでに買ったようなもんでそこまで3Dアクションゲームを遊ぶ気分じゃなかったんだけど、なんとなくダウンロードして遊んでみるとメインで買ったゲームを置き去りにしてこのゲームに夢中になってしまった。
主人公を動かしてるだけで楽しくてついつい長時間遊んでしまう。
主人公の見た目をカスタムする要素があってそれも結構楽しい。
ワークショップに対応してるから人によってはかなり長時間遊べると思う
欠点を上げるならカメラワークぐらいかな……

I've known this game for a while now, back in the day I pirated it and played through 4 of the 5 chapters. That experience alone was enough for me to start telling absolutely everyone that this is my favorite game EVER.
After all those years, the game got a discount, and I decided to buy it, and I must say that re-experiencing this game was one of the biggest nostalgia trips ever for me, everything felt brand new and it's still (like I remembered) filled to the BRIM with creativity and fun Ideas.
If you ask me what I like about this game, I would have to say just absolutely EVERYTHING.
The worlds are really well constructed, with each one trying to go for a different vibe and SUCEEDING SOOOOO MUCH ON THAT, (I personally like chapter 2 the most).
The characters are so cute and well constructed that I would go out of my way just to listen to their small bubbles of interaction.
The platforming is incredible and really shows how this game was inspired by some old gems of platforming like Mario Galaxy and Banjo Kazooie.
The story is SO GOOD OMFG, it's really simple and really doesn't leave much to the imagination, aside from some specific characters (cough, Vanessa, cough), the climax at the end was really the only new thing I experienced from the game and holy cow was it worth the 5 year wait.
Overall, this game is something I hold close to my heart as being one of the best platformers of all time, along with being my favorite game ever. If you're looking foward for simple to learn platforming, cool boss fights, cute characters, BUFF MAFIA MEN and everything that I listed above then this is THE game for you.
