A Hat in Time is a cute-as-heck 3D platformer featuring a little girl who stitches hats for wicked powers. A little girl and her spaceship In A Hat in Time you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big tophat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel, the Time Pieces, is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight and stitch new hats to make her way into every nook and cranny of this new world in order to restore her fuel and resume her journey. On her way, she'll bump into the menacing Mafia of Cooks, the goofy birds of Dead Bird Studio, the spooky shadows of Subcon Forest, and more! Murder on a train! Parades! Trespassing in a movie studio? Every mission in A Hat in Time is unique! At one moment you'll be solving the Murder on the Owl Express by finding clues and interrogating the locals, the next moment you'll be the band marshal in The Big Parade, or sneaking through the bird-run Dead Bird Studio!

I spent around 30 hours with this game, but had to play with Steam offline mode because for some reason it was the only way to stop the stuttering that was making it unplayable. This is why I have many achievements even though the playtime is only "68 minutes".
But ok... the good stuff:
1. Great tribute to 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64. Great gameplay.
2. Beautiful art design.
3. Awesome music.
4. Hat Kid is adorable.
5. Great level design, a lot of variety.
6. Memorable characters, funny dialogue.
CONS
- As I mentioned at the start, it was unplayable for me until I tried offline mode and I saw that many people have had similar problems.
- There's no way to save inside the acts, this is typical in this genre, but many acts in A Hat in Time can take more than an hour to complete and you need to finish them in a single session. So, if you don't finish those acts in one sitting you might lose between 30 -90 minutes of progress.
- Hat Kid is most of the time a silent protagonist. Because of this, most conversations that involve her
feel weird, other characters needing to fall into long monologues to feel the void.
- There are nice characters and the dialogue is good and funny overall, but the story has a serious flaw, it feels like it has a beginning, an ending, but no middle part. The big finale is good when taken in isolation, but there's too much stuff in it that had zero build up until that point.

vary guud gaem. jokes aside this is a really good game you should try. imagine mario 64 but better. has a lot of content and the workshop lets you play as the noid from dominos pizza. the game also has some jokes and some harder levels. why are you still reading this review, go play this game, NOW!

Es ist ein Wunderschönes spiel ich hatte echt viel Spaß beim spielen.
Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so viel spaß beim spielen gehabt wie in a hat in time.
ich hatte so viel spaß das es mich traurig macht das es keinen 2 teil davon gibt.

Ein Jump & Run Spiel wie es eins nur selten gibt. Die Steuerung fühlt sich sehr intuitiv an und die vielen kleinen Geschichten wissen zu unterhalten. Einige Herausforderungen sind fordernd, fühlen sich aber immer fair an.

Sehr gutes Spiel
Ich hoffe es gibt mal mehr solcher 3D Jump and Run Spiele. Offene Welten (Sektore/Bereiche) wäre für mich allerdings besser gewesen. Ich finde die Erkundung bei solchen Spielen am Besten. Die erste Spielewelt ist in dieser Richtung kreiert.

Ich liebe dieses Game, von Spaß bis Kontent über den Soundtrack. Legendär!
