AVOPUG SHOW
Avopug show is arcade race platformer in the space fantasy environment. Game filled with light narrative story inspired from classical Chinese myth creation of horoscope circle. Who is Avopug? He is pug and video blogger in far-far away universe, where he take part in horoscope challenge. To pass it he must collect enough energy gems in each location.
What is game about?
In far-far away universe High Council announce horoscope challenge. They found that one realm is ready to have life. But life cannot exist without Horoscope! They said, twelve persons, who will be first to complete challenge, will take place in the horoscope circle of the new realm.
Avopug decided to take a chance, as many others. But who is Avopug? First of all he is pug, who loves avocados. And he is video blogger too. All challenges he will stream online, and in the moments of calmness he will take interview with other participants, like goat Strawberry, rabbit-cat Cupcake, pig Bacon, bull Donut and others.
What are challenges about?
Generally it is road, which has start and end – alpha and omega. In the space between these two points are many obstacles, jumps, turns, highways, narrows and energy gems! To pass a challenge participant must collect at least 90% of the energy gems. After passing all challenges, participant will collect enough energy to take a place in the horoscope of new realm.
Each new level tries to bring some new feelings and experience. Under hood of the simple concept is hiding pure fun of gameplay. There is possibility that gameplay flow can bring player to active meditation state, which can lead to nirvana. Be careful!
Unexpected bonus!
Gameplay balance refer to classic Ezop story about hare and tortoise, and bring main idea in gameplay flow – do not rush to win. Game is not about rushing, but about finding Zen inside mind. Gameplay is declaration of idea and try to bring concept to practical understanding, on the level of subconscious, mindset and feelings. While you have fun by playing game, your mind will learn useful knowledge. Think about this!

This game is pretty fun, especially if you like platform racing games that have an arcadey edge feel to it, you could happily sink hours into this game just to pass the time and have fun. the different levels are a good touch and the music changes depending on the level that you will be in like the old school 1930's-40's slow type of music when passing through the black and white level, and the blood pumping sci-fi music when passing through another.
The game may seem at first a simple Arcade type game, But this adds an edge and twists to that genre i give this game a solid 7/10 for originality, beauty, simplicity whit an edge.

Pretty fun to pass some time. Like how the music changes from high tempo with futuristic levels to classic black and white style cartoon with a 1930's soundtrack. (If you like games like TrackMania / Space Ribbon then you may want to try this one)
The level design feels like something from F-Zero with tracks and roads being in the sky or in space then with the cartoon feel of Cuphead as well thrown into the mix.
The Pug as a guide every so often popping up to let you know when you've got enough crystals/purple gems to finish the level and also giving driving tips.
With impressive draw distance and frame rate doesn't which is a key thing in my opinion for a racer however, one thing to keep in mind the handling isn't the best, the car handles like a FWD and you have to keep an eye on the front wheels as to where you car will turn and also when to take the turn. Slowing down early may help when picking up those crystals and not hitting any objects on the road.
Use your shields wisely and also time your landings on the jumps, you don't have to collect all the crystals on the track just enough required then you can race for the finish, so if some of the crystals are more difficult to collect to stay on track then leave them.
Trying to stay on the track and not hit any objects within the time limit is the aim of the game here, just have fun for what the game is and don't need to take it too seriously.

A commendable indie arcade racing game that dares to break away from the norm. While it may not be perfect, its ambition to offer something new and different in a crowded market deserves recognition. With its mix of innovation, challenge, and charm, Avopug Show earns a solid score of 7 out of 10.
