The Crew
The Crew is a racing game set in a persistent open world environment for free-roaming across a scaled-down recreation of the contiguous United States. The map is split into five regions: The Midwest, East Coast, The South, Mountain States, and West Coast. Each region has its own unique geographical features. Six main cities (one in each region, two in the Midwest) are featured in the game: Detroit and Chicago in the Midwest, New York City on the East Coast, Miami in The South, Las Vegas in the Mountain States, and Los Angeles on the West Coast. Various other cities, namely St. Louis, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Santa Fe, San Francisco, and Seattle, are also featured in the game. Over thirty smaller cities and towns line the countryside, such as Nashville, Norfolk and others. It takes approximately 45 minutes in real time to drive from coast to coast in-game.

As of today The Crew Unlimited has brought this game back to life! If you own it, go check it out because you can play once more. It's a simple patch and launcher, steps are on the discord.
Anyway, huge map, it's cool for that alone. Sure physics are not amazing and this is from 2014 but still, awesome map size. Play it!

♥♥♥♥ YOU UBISOFT!!!!!! i got your game working again using "the crew unlimited" and dont need your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ software to run it since you decided NOBODY should be able to play this amazing game ever again! the physics in the crew feel way better compared to your newer titles, which is why you probably decided to destroy this game for everyone and not keep it ALIVE. once again, ♥♥♥♥ YOU UBISOFT AND IVORY TOWER!!!!!!!

I have a deep appreciation for the game—it once served as my nostalgic portal to past travels, particularly around 2015. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has since withdrawn it, prompting me to reconsider my support for the company. A personal boycott now feels warranted.

The Crew Unlimited brought back to life in 2025 thanks to the modding community! Replaying The Crew 1 reminds me how much better story-paced the series used to be.
-Decent graphics
-Entertaining story and cinematics
-Excellent progression system with XP and money earned
-Rewarding exploration with landmarks
-Car shops, and upgrade shops that you actually have to drive to (or fast travel)
-Great map of the USA, and you have to actually explore to unlock it
-A real sense of progression with a solid story and side quests along the way
Not like the newer games where you can just fast travel anyway, and everything is avaiable to to you at the beginning. I love how the game makes you really take road trips for exploration of the USA.
They don't make em like this anymore, find yourself a copy and get Unlimited!

game's finally back cus of crew unlimited and if you have a scratch for mcla esque of games trust me this is struck gold i couldn't take it all back then but now i am out for words to the graphics to the gameplay and the story everything is so perfect for a racing game even MSAA 8X anti aliasing which we don't see in the newer crew games instead we get dog water TAA or SMAA or FXAA this game truly was ahead of its time and we all were too blind to take notice of this master piece the critics might say otherwise but this game is perfect for someone who wants what true gritty racing game feels like not
festival slop we get of today *cough* *cough* forza and new crew motorfest
