Buggy Game
Buyer beware: Buggy Game is NOT an arcade game! This is a simcade game with a simulated tyre model, load transfer, differential, power curve and everything!
It’s easy to pick up, but you can’t just crash your way to the finish. You are going to need to work your way up the pack with style and grace. And a little bit of well-timed aggression, because the AI is very competitive!
The main event is the campaign mode, where you try to become champion by collecting the most points while racing procedurally generated tracks through various worlds, but beware – if you damage your car too much, it’s all over.
There’s also a time trial mode, with ghost cars from both your best run, and the developer’s par record. Are you better than me? Only one way to find out!
This game is best played using a gamepad with analog controls. Keyboard and steering wheels are also supported.

Don't underestimate this fun little racer, it’s quite a tough nut to crack. The sim-like physics feel and challenging AI are making this a worthy challenge. Don’t be scared away by the somewhat steep learning curve. Once you have gitten the gud, the gud will keep you coming back for more
The soundtrack is on a (bangin) league on it’s own and is also completely produced/mixed/mastered by the same developer.

Good fun! Plays well with a keyboard too. Not actually buggy, except once I saw Keanu crash through a mountain and disappear into the void. That was radical.

Unfortunately, I think most people would look at the graphics of this game, and pass it by. And on the other hand, if the dev went the extra mile and updated the graphics (let’s say roughly neo geo rally game style) I think it could really get the recognition it deserves! But either way, this game rules, just get it already!

Seems like a fun game so far, and it's Deck compatible. It's still in early development and could use a few more features such as turbo boosts or maybe vehicle weapons to mix up game play a little bit. Also, this game is pretty difficult. Allow more difficulty options, maybe like choosing the starting position instead of always starting in 10th or make it so the AI makes mistakes. Multiplayer would also be a lot of fun.
It would be cool to see vehicle mounted guns that use the right joystick to aim separately from the movement of the vehicle or just anything that used more of the steam deck’s features. Increasing the price would also be OK if it gets more development.

Buggy Game is a great little simulation racing game. I've been putting most of my free time over the last 2 days into it, and have been noticing improvements in my driving ability. It's very satisfying to aggressively approach a corner, release the throttle, then back on the power as you over take an AI or two through the turn. Sometimes you bounce them into a wall, but don't get too carried away with the damage to your car!
For a modest price, you get:
various cars with different driving characteristics
a variety of track types (varying in how tight the track is, palette etc.)
Championship mode & Single Race mode
tracks are procedurally generated, minus the tracks in Time Attack mode
Time Attack mode features 'ghost' cars for your and the developer's best times
a competent AI with no cheating
re-bindable controls
difficulty options
sweet techno/drum & bass soundtrack
HIghly recommended!

Great game, handling and feel is fantastic and sound design is superb! AI are brutal and the sometimes narrow tracks can be punishing, which makes it all the more fun when you score an overtake! Definitely an "easy to play - hard to master" kind of game; requires masses of concentration!

A solid, fun and challenging game. I suck at it but I'm getting better.
