Rainswept
Detective Michael Stone arrives in the small town of Pineview to assist the local police force with a seemingly simple case – A couple is found dead in their kitchen. The locals believe it to be a case of murder-suicide, their speculation fueled by rumors of the turbulent nature of the couple's relationship. Is it just small-town gossip, or is there some truth to the rumors? Help Detective Stone, assisted by the driven and empathetic Amy Blunt, discover the truth behind Chris and Diane's story. But be warned: the further he pursues the case, the more his own past shall come back to haunt him. And the closer his sanity will be pushed to the edge. Rainswept is an adventure game – A murder mystery dealing with themes of love, relationships and unresolved trauma. It has been developed by Frostwood Interactive, a studio found by Armaan Sandhu. The soundtrack is being composed by Micamic, the composer behind Harvester Games' excellent 2012 indie title "The Cat Lady"

Rainswept tells a great story, both through a current and a past perspective. At first when you approach the game you might think "Oh haha, it's another Twin Peaks game! Even the police station looks the same!" but no, it's not. It is so much more and different.
The characters in this game really feel like they all have depth. They have their individual background stories, all their lives are going on. You play as the hard-boiled detective from the city assisting the local police in figuring out what happened in a shooting. But you also get to follow the lives of the two victims, which is something that's quite unusual - especially in a video game.
I recommend this game and I will definitely check out other titles from this developer!

Rainswept – Brief Review
Rainswept truly took me by surprise with how emotionally rich and atmospheric it is. The storytelling is heartfelt and mature, with well-written dialogues that make every character feel believable. The beautiful scenery adds a quiet charm to the experience, often saying as much as the story itself. The soundtrack, while subtle, fits the tone perfectly and gently pulls you deeper into the mystery.
What really stands out is the way the game handles its central murder mystery. It keeps you guessing till the very end, all while exploring themes of grief, trauma, and the fragile nature of relationships. By the time the truth unfolds, you can’t help but feel genuine pity and sorrow for the couple and the heartbreaking path they were forced to take.
My Ratings:
Story: 5/5
Music: 3.5/5
Graphics: 5/5
Optimisation: 4.5/5
Overall, Rainswept is a powerful indie experience — emotional, atmospheric, and absolutely worth playing at least once.

Short mystery game that is mostly story rich. A bit buggy in spots but for the most part a very easy puzzle relaxed game.

Bought this on a whim a while back when it was on sale and decided just recently to play it on a rainy day.
A very atmospheric game, even with it's simple art and design. Interesting story without trying too hard. The scenic moments and music are very well done thought sometimes I wish the dialogue and character reactions were a little more polished. There are a few bugs here and there, like one NPC walking in the street and getting stuck on a street light and a character stuck in a conversation loop but otherwise the game is simple and playable. Some typos I noticed as well and the controls can be clunky, which could also use some polishing, something to keep in mind for future games if it hasn't already been worked on. I recommend this game if you're looking for a small escape and like solving mysteries.

Rainswept is one of the most memorable narrative experiences I’ve had in a game. As its description suggests, the influence of "Night in the Woods" is clearly evident, particularly in the city’s architecture and the way you explore a place that feels alive and inhabited.
The game is worth playing above all for its soundtrack and story. This studio offers some of the best musical compositions I’ve heard in indie gaming. The soundscape, subtle yet ever-present, enhances the melancholy and deepens your attachment to the characters.
On the other hand, don’t expect breathtaking graphics. That’s simply not the point. The minimalist, almost rudimentary appearance of the characters may come as a surprise, but it fades into the background behind the emotional power of the narrative.

Well written characters. Makes you feel like you really know them despite no voice acting. The art is fantastic and so is the music.

Some games end when the screen fades to black.
Rainswept ends somewhere deeper.
A quiet town. Endless rain. A case that feels less like a mystery and more like a confession. Beneath its gentle pixels lies a story soaked in grief, love, and the kind of sadness that doesn’t scream—it waits.
You don’t just investigate deaths here.
You sit with pain.
You walk through silence.
You feel the weight of words never spoken.
The rain keeps falling, as if washing away nothing at all.
Rainswept doesn’t hurt loudly.
It hurts honestly. 🌧️🖤
