For the crappy PC group review:
When you start out, it has this hideous CRT effect turned on. For low-spec PCs, it massively cuts framerate. Even when you turn it and other effects off, it still lags in even the first level (4th gen Intel i5 CPU with integrated graphics). I'd hate to say it for a new indie person, but it's just not good for a crappy PC, at least.
My personal review:
It's... okay I guess. But a word of advice to the dev would be to try to make the mechanics feel a bit more... in-control. In other words, the mechanics need work. When falling and you try to control through the air, you keep that momentum until you either hit solid ground or go the other way. The character feels too wild whenever I try to do anything with him. To be honest it kinda feels like I'm playing a game that's turned on too fast. The environments look fine though, but the player could definitely use some better control.
The tutorial needs work. It's decent, but it really should tell the player that he can double jump and press up while falling to slow the fall.
It's unfortunate, but I just didn't have any real desire to keep going after a few levels. There's definitely fun to be had if you want. But maybe not for $10... It's the dev's first game. I really wish I could have a 1-10 recommendation scale thingy. I'd put it at maybe 5 or 6.
