As so many of these things do, it all begins on a magical island. In this case, Gogapoe Island, a place populated by both humans and monsters. What starts out as a mission to get back Niko's birthday cake becomes a quest for the fate of Gogapoe itself. But, ya know, cake is still super important, too! Oodles of friendly monsters will join Niko's quest and use their kooky powers to help him explore the island, solve puzzles, demolish obstacles, and just generally humiliate enemies. Hordes of evil monsters will cause mayhem and generally be jerkfaces, but that's nothing you can't fix with headbutts, frost breath, stink clouds and rainbow barf. Save the day and fulfill your monstrous cakelust all at once in MONSTERS ATE MY BIRTHDAY CAKE!

silly game, I played it on mobile a long time ago and never finished, it was fun to pick it back up and finally finish it. the art-style is the cutest and the music is nice too!

I love this game. I have loved it for 10 years now. It is one of 4 games I know of that I have gone out of my way to buy more than once. I remember seeing it advertised on Cartoon Network and blowing my Christmas/Birthday money on it in late December of 2014. I played it all the way and beat it 100%. I loved it so much that when, years later, it stopped being available on iOS, I literally emailed CN staff asking about it. I remember eventually realizing, and I remember this from the ad, that the game came out on iOS AND Steam. At the time, I didn't know what Steam was, but years later, I did. And I bought it again. and I've never been happier. I keep playing it on and off for years, just like I did on my iPad as a kid, but now on Steam.
If this game could ever get, like, a sequel or merch or something, I would literally blow my life savings on funding it myself. Granted, that's not much, but I'm willing to do it anyways. If it's possible to mod this game or make more of it in any way, I want it to be done.

when i was a wee lad, i would play the hell out of this game on my ipad, pretty much whenever i had time. you can imagine my excitement when i discovered that it existed on steam. i immediately bought it and installed it, and i am happy to report it is just as fun as i remember it being when i was 9 years old. the humor may be a bit dated, but it’s damn near ten years old at this point, so that’s to be expected. everything else, the sprites, gameplay, the incredible soundtrack by Disasterpeace, all still holds up pretty well to this day. this game is definitely worth the 8 bucks.

This game is one of my all time favorites. It features a fantastic, unique story, incredible music, adorable art, and lovable characters. It maintains a sense of quality without being overly complicated. I've played it at least three times and I still love it.
