Figment
A musical action-adventure set in the recesses of the human mind… Welcome to the world of Figment. A strange and surreal world a place filled with our deepest thoughts, urges and memories, populated by the many voices we hear in our heads. This mind has been quiet and calm for many years. But something has changed. New thoughts have started to emerge – taking the shape of nightmarish creatures who spread fear wherever they go. The only hope is for the grumpy Dusty, the mind's former voice of courage, to get back to his old self and help the mind to face its fears. Join Dusty and his ever-optimistic friend, Piper, on an adventure through the different sides of the mind, solving puzzles to set things straight, beating back the nightmares and seeking to restore the courage that's been lost.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet, sorry!
Amazing game. The music is so good. I first finished this game with my son watching, then he played it through again and again and again. I help him on some of the harder parts because he's 5 but we love everything about this game. I think he's finished it probably 5-6 times by now. He'll often mention something about the game in passing and he likes to build segments from the game out of Lego even though they don't look that close to anything from the game, it just really sparks his imagination.
I know my review makes it sound like it's a game for kids but it's not really and I loved it.

It kinda feels like stepping into an illustration from a really beautiful children’s book. Even our main character Dusty gives me some Where the Wild Things Are vibes. Sure, the iconic white wolf costume and Max’s story go in a different direction but you get what I mean, right? Anyways, Bedtime Digital Games put it pretty clearly on their website: "We love surreal visuals and delicious audio" and yeah you can really tell. That’s why it only made sense for me to go back and check out the game that came out five years earlier than The Forest Quartet. And I can tell you this right away, as soon as I am done with this review I’m jumping straight into the Figment 2 Prologue and it will only be a matter of time before I play the full version of Creed Valley.
When it comes to the recommendation itself, it obviously depends a bit on what kind of gamer and even a little on what kind of person you are. If you’re more of a closed-minded type, maybe a bit intolerant or quick to judge, and not really into deeper themes or philosophy, I can still tell you to try something like Figment, but it probably just isn’t for you. For everyone else who’s open-minded enough and actually cares about art, they’ve either already played Figment or will hopefully do so soon, I mean the timing couldn’t really be better right now.
Figment is a small kinda fantasy adventure and at the same time a metaphorical journey through the human mind during a phase of psychological and trauma processing, basically a symbolic and fairy-tale-like representation of all that. The music and its dynamic soundtrack, apart from one exception, are truly beautiful and fit the game pretty well. Sometimes it sounds dreamy or a bit playful, depending on the situation it can also turn dark, and when things get more intense we even get some rock and metal elements in it. Sound design is just as great and really mixes things up a lot. There are moments where the sound of a swinging pendulum is perfectly in sync with the music, or where an electric buzzing becomes part of the actual beat. Personally, I wouldn’t have minded even more of that, but still pretty good work there. The voice acting is a matter of taste, maybe? Well I think I understand what they were going for but overall it's somewhere between just okay and pretty bad. The puzzles mostly fall into the category of "let’s not overwhelm anyone too much" and all in all the game just plays out in a pretty relaxed way. We could also argue heavily about Dusty’s character design or look, but at the end of the day, I can still recommend the game.

Yes, I can recommend this game with its cute little art style. Also good for 100% or just to enjoy some nice point and click puzzle & action.

Figment blends light action, environmental puzzles, and imaginative storytelling into a charming adventure. Exploring its colorful world is enjoyable, with clever level design and creative boss encounters that keep the gameplay varied. While it's not particularly difficult, its unique atmosphere and polished presentation make it a memorable experience.

I am a huge fan of the game Back to Bed, so i started Figment with many expectations and i was not dissapointed at all! The game is fantastic with a sentimental bittersweet story at its core the facets of which are felt throughout the campaign. Moreover the graphics are vivid and pleasant and the gameplay relatively easy although there are some riddles which will you stop and ponder for a while. Additionally a special reference must be made about the music and the songs which are heard during the ..boss battles! There is no doubt you are going to adore some of them! Overall i enjoyed my time with Figment a lot and i can´t recommend it enough!!!

Figment is a beautifully hand-drawn world filled with whimsy to explore and string together a short story arc. The character voice acting, songs and musical elements are all nicely done. There are a few interesting things to do and find along the way but for the most part the journey and puzzles are basic and linear. The objectives are easy to see, leading to some puzzle elements to present as minor annoyances rather than an interesting test to figure out.
