Forge Squad
Forge Squad is a cooperative crafting game for up to 4 players. In order to defeat the approaching waves of enemies, runes must be forged. The crafting consists of several steps, which can only be efficiently done together. Enemies can only be injured by towers charged with the right type of runes. But be careful, because the enemy also knows how to defend itself and advances with armored units, whose shield must be destroyed by the player himself.
Cooperative action
Face the challenges together with up to four players (local multiplayer or Remote Play Together). Good team play and coordination is crucial.
Varied environments
Play in a medieval castle, in ancient Egypt or high up on an icy mountain. A whole 5 different environments provide variety.
Customization
Choose one of four characters and customize the appearance.
Steam Remote Play Together
The game has been specially tested with Steam’s “Play Remote Together” feature. Launch the game, invite your Steam friends and start playing.
Story
The mighty god of the underworld has sent his henchmen to conquer the kingdom of heaven. To prevent this, the gods created an intermediate world and created humankind. In gratitude, humans built towers to protect the entrances to the Celestial Kingdom. Powerful rune magic is needed for the towers to drive away evil. It is now the task of the blacksmiths to stop the threat.

A great take on the casual party style game made popular by titles like overcooked. It's a little rough around the edges with the translations missing in places and the collision going a little wonky at times. And the visuals are probably going to hold this back from really taking off. But on the whole if you're willing to give it a shot it's got great potential.

Great game to play with friends!
I've played the first 3 levels on hard difficulty with 2 other friends, but we will definitely continue playing all levels.
Pro:
- Fun and hectic gameplay
- Levels feel unique and bring new challenges
- Hard difficulty feels well balanced
- Smooth experience overall, no hiccups while playing
Negative:
- Graphics are outdated, but this does not impact the fun gameplay at all
- Some objects were hard to see (like turrets), maybe this could be improved with more contrast or saturation
I can recommend this game for everyone who enjoyed Overcooked!

I don't think I can review this game without comparing it to Overcooked. If you like Overcooked and if you like tower defence games, then Forge Squad might be worth your time!
It is not quite as intuitive as Overcooked; e.g. as humans we know pizza belongs in the oven, but we don't know how to forge runes.
However, once you get the hang of it, there are some things about Forge Squad that offers more depth than Overcooked!
For example, Forge Squad offers more scope for cooperation than Overcooked. You don't just focus on your own personal task; a number of crafts require multiple players for optimal execution. Nice!
Forge Squad doesn't have the budget of Team17's Overcooked. I encountered a game-breaking bug, but I tried again the next day, and the bug was fixed!
There are a couple of rough edges, but there is a lot of fun to be had here. I played with a group of 3, using PS4 controller. We were soon screaming and laughing at each other as we fell into rivers or dropped runes into ponds, and it felt great to use teamwork to defeat the boss.
Nice game! I hope the wizards continue to polish and add content
