Story: Zaki and Mia (old man and hamster looking thing) stole all the mails and spread them all over the world and Maria the witch who is beginner at handling her broom needs to return the mail to their owners.
Very simple story and it is not important for the game.
Soundtrack: It does its job, but not really that good to be honest.
Gameplay: Oh boy, it is frustrating. To control your character you use your mouse. It is similar to flappy bird but slightly easier once you get used to it. To go left you hold left click on the mouse but only slightly to go straight because if you hold it too long you go in circles.
Same as if you want to go the right just with right mouse button. you can change the way your character go mid air, to do that you need to click twice on the opposite side of where you are heading. just clicking once just make your character looks the other way while still going the same way. You can use coins you collect during a level to buy checkpoints during a level.
The game acts like mobile game without in game purchases rather than a pc game. The game has 4 worlds and tutorial and each world has 8 levels including tutorials.
To unlock the worlds you need to collect needed amount of stars. Levels use star system as most mobile games use too. To get all 3 stars you need to finish the level, finish it without retries and collect all mails in the level and get it to the mail box.
So it is easy to finish the game but not as easy to complete it. Just first world took 1 or 2 hours. Game is very short if you just finish it, about 3 hours but to complete it 6 or 7 hours is needed, depends on how good are you at the game.
Art: Looks good and it is smooth, some enemies have misplaced eyes like big black enemies where you can see that eyes were cropped. Besides that i haven't really noticed any errors.
For a 5 Eur game it is pretty fun and addicting but, i recommend to get it while it is on sale rather to buy it normally and if you have nothing else to play.
Thanks for reading.

Looks can be deceiving. At first glance this may look like a children's game but in reality is not suited to be one because of it's daunting difficulty. 1 hit to the wall and it's game over. Good game

What Is Maria The Witch?
Maria The Witch is what happens when someone wants to combine the controls of a flash game, the style of "Kiki's Delivery Service" and Dark Souls. Ok perhaps less souls-like than others, but the difficulty level of this game demands a close eye be kept on all things rhythmically related. The movement of foes, of the level, and of yourself.
You platform about on your magic broom, capturing lost coins and letters, then delivering the letters and finding the correct spot to land. Anything that isn't the correct spot kills you, along with the enemies you'll find throughout the level, and my mouse.
The controls are simple. Click to left or right mouse buttons to spurt in that direction, hold to rotate in place along that direction (this is how you aim up or down). There is an exhilaration behind the movement system created here.
What Should I Know About Maria The Witch
Going in know two things: it's not easy and it is rewarding. The game feels incredibly satisfying when you finally (after cursing on every previous attempt) succeeding. The controls are tight, the art style is well done and the sound is passable.
A lot of reviews say the game feels like a mobile game, and while I don't disagree with that, it makes it a remarkably well designed mobile game. No DLCs or other microtransaction, no energy timers, no hounding you to attach a social media account with it. It's just a game, and a good one at that.
So Will I Like Maria The Witch?
If you go in looking for a game that gives you a complete experience, you'll likely enjoy this game. If you are looking for something casual, you probably won't make it to the end but at five bucks, you'll probably get your money out of it. If you want a game that's easy, go away because while this isn't *actually* Dark Souls level difficult, it isn't a cakewalk.

Game looks beautiful but is very challenging.
The controls are very counterintuitive and I spend forever doing the tutorial.
But then navigating through the world is the whole point of the game and it is rewarding when (if) you finally get there.
Tip: always keep the cursor right in front of your broomstick.

I got this game from a giveaway and didn't expect much, but it turns out to be a very addictive and fun game, like those Master System and other old games where you have simple, clean and fun objectives, and you just play to kill time. Plus, it's cheap.
