Discover the beautiful world of Nihilumbra and join Born on his adventure to find himself whilst trying to escape from his inevitable curse. Born was created from the absolute nothingness: The Void. But somehow he separates himself from the black emptiness and appears in the world.

Born as part of the void, I yearn to escape from it.
The void chases me, trying to devour me.
The void annihilates everything behind me.

Nihilumbra is still a good-looking platformer for its age. There are a good amount of levels and it didn't feel repetitive, so the price is okay for me.
After you finish the story, you can play through the game again, but on increased difficulty. This is where it really picks up and where you really notice the age of the game. You're more likely to die because of the controls. But since you only have to play this part for achievements, you can ignore it.

Decent enough little indie platforming game.
Mechanics were easy enough to grasp yet offer some complexity, that being said you'll finish this quite fast.
Narration and music was top notch, graphical style not my thing but that's personal preference.
Would of gotten a 8/10 if it was even possible to play with controller (it's not).
6.5/10
After finishing the game, you unlock the void mode. It's here that the controls sort of start feeling really clunky (mostly cause of the bouncing puzzles). Didn't like it very much.

Quick Review
"Nihilumbra" is a quite original platformer that develops it's story through quite well thought puzzles and interesting gameplay mechanics that will make the playthrough quite interesting. It's an easy recommendation for those looking for a challenge and like original puzzles with different ways to solve them.
(Playthrough/Gameplay of the game)
If this quick review isn't useful to you maybe the following "extended version" could help ^^
The good
An interesting story with a pretty good narrator to carry it forward.
Original puzzles that leave some space to imagine different ways to solving them.
Pretty cohesive and good looking visuals + a really good soundtrack that fits the mood of the levels.
The bad
Sometimes the controls might feel a little bit finicky when trying to work on tight spaces ingame or dealing with the edges of some platforms.
The first section of the "Void" levels it's a really big difficulty spike, but the rest of the game has a pretty good difficulty curve.
Things that might help you decide
Low-spec friendly game.
The game has a short duration (around 2h) in case you don't want to complete the "game+"/Void mode.
Final recommendation / Price evaluation
The game it's an easy recommendation for those that enjoy platforming or puzzle games, but if you are curious go ahead and buy it too and try it out. The price of the game it's really good, I'll say that it's actually quite cheap and that'll happily pay 10€ for it instead of 7€.

If you like things like Mushishi, SuperEyepatchWolf, and interesting puzzle mechanics, this is the game for you. It's such a calming kind of spooky with a lovely story.

Nihilumbra is a jump n run and puzzle game with simple but imaginative controls. Sometimes you need good timing skills, but overall the story mode is easy to complete. If you prefer a little challenge, you can try out void mode later. I like that I can create my path while I'm walking towards it.
The design is very beautiful and atmospherically appropriate to the music and I like the narrator's poetic comments that help to understand how the little shadow feels.
