Excellent game for the genre. As good, maybe even better, than previous ones in the series. (And this series is in the top two or three of all the games I've played in this genre.) It follows the usual format, except one small and one very small thing.
On new game mechanic is that sometimes it won't let you pick up an object that you don't need yet. I would find this annoying if they did this with every object. (You can't pick it up until you know what you need it for.) They did it just with a few things judiciously, and I liked it.
The other very small thing was when you have to pick up a set of objects, it doesn't show the total count that you need until you've found where the objects will be used. So, if you need 10 of a thing, it will just show how many you have, but not show "out of 10", like "8/10" until you've found the place you'll use it. This was really minor, but I liked it. It adds a nice little touch.
The only two downsides to keep in mind are the following. I don't think this would make anyone not want to play, just wanted to mention it:
1. You can't create separate profiles. This was true of the older games, also. I will definitely play this again, but it means I won't be able to search for the collection objects next time. (I do like hunting those down.)
2. I had to put the resolution at 1600x900 in order for the mouse to be big enough to see when it changes. (I'm on a largish laptop screen.)
