Promenade
Promenade is an exploration/adventure game. Since it’s a 2D collect-a-thon, the way you progress in the game is very similar to games such as Mario64 or Banjo-Kazooie.
The main character of Promenade (the Kid) is joined on his adventure by a poulp that hangs on to his back like a backpack.
The poulp completes the Kid’s moveset and allows him to interact with his surroundings.
The Kid can throw his companion poulp which then acts like a boomerang and brings back enemies and objects.
The wide variety of objects brings a lot of diversity to the game and allows a lot of fun interactions.
When the kid is airborne, if he is carrying an object in his hands, he can throw the object down, which makes him perform a double jump.
Some power-ups can be unlocked through the game.
Promenade wouldn’t be a collect-a-thon without things to gather. The precious objects the kid will collect will be cog fragments (3 fragments will make a full cog). These cogs will allow the player to reactivate machinery that will allow him to progress in the hub and unlock new areas.
The discovery and exploration of each area is not necessarily linear. Sometimes, you will have the possibility to choose what to explore first.
Promenade takes place in an oniric and enchanting world. Our goal is to make you feel a sense of accomplishment and wonder.
In that regard, the game provides you with a wide variety of situations, such as puzzles, bosses, platforming, etc.
To feel a sense of wonder, we opted for colorful visuals and traditional animation.

I don't usually play platformers and dont wanna play Mario anymore, I’ve played it since I was three.
However, this game stands out with its engaging puzzles that aren't too easy and reward curiosity. compare with others, its more on a puzzle side than platformer, really love how dev blend the puzzle in it.
The mechanics take some time to master, which i think kids will get stuck very quickly.

Mario 64 + celeste + some original seasoning = Promenade
100% recommended.
Everytime I hear the music with hints of Mario, it takes me back to my teenage years and gives me goosebumps. It's packed with surprises and clever game mechanics.
Everyone involved in making this game should be proud.

This game is perfect. So colourful, just challenging enough but not too serious. I laughed at the sexy onion woman poster, and just found this game to be so charming and delightful.

A very cozy puzzle platformer. The mechanics are straightforward, and used in interesting ways throughout. It's overall on the easier side (not to say as a bad thing, since it's a very comfy game), but does have its more difficult moments. There is some lore, presented via the environment, and emphasized towards the end of the game, but even so, he world itself is charming by itself.
Heavily recommended if you're looking for something a bit relaxing, with some exploration and puzzling.

This game is awesome. Very fun, great art style and music, and smooth controls. You can complete the game doing only the easy stuff, or there is plenty of just-right challenge too. I loved this game. Thanks to the devs for making a classic!

Short game but with lots of good ideas.
Promenade is a platform adventure game. The overall world consists of a big hub (with its own secrets to discover) and several independent worlds connected to the main hub. The player progressively unlocks new worlds by collecting a certain number of pieces (the equivalent of stars in a 3d mario game). Each world contains a certain number of these pieces that you have to find. Promenade juggle between different types of gameplay. Certain pieces require platforming, others solving puzzles or a mix of both. This game does not fall into an issue I had with Mario Odyssey, where too many moons are trivial to collect with very little effort demanded of the player.
Here most of the pieces require you to do something interesting. The pace of the game is good thanks to its constant diversity of gameplay and renewal of ideas. The graphics and the music are just fine. Promenade is on the easier side of games, though some puzzles require some clever thinking (but nothing too hard either). The difficulty is well calibrated, except for the very last sequence before the ending (wtf?).

Promenade is filled with pure joy and imagination from its creators. Mechanics are simple and intuitive, yet not without depth. Great difficulty curve as I mostly felt challenged and motivated instead of frustrated or punished. Hope more people find this hidden gem. 10/10
