Resident Evil: Revelations
Unveil the truth behind horror The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, revealing the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus their respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. The action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner, before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available, the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations. Enhance your gameplay experience even further with additional motion controls that let you aim and wield your weapons with greater accuracy on the Nintendo Switch.

It may be a spin-off but don't sleep on this game - it's a true RE, with all the hallmarks:
-Partner character who disappears forever after their debut game! (Carlos, Sheva, Josh etc.)
-"New" virus that is basically just T-Virus again! (G, T-Veronica)
-Jill having a completely different voice/personality/appearance in every single game!
-Addictive side mode and unique mechanics that will be tragically forgotten about in later installments!
-Copious fanservice(of both kinds)!
-The plot is really silly! (Giant satellite laser gun, secret lab on a cruise ship that somehow went unnoticed for ages, comical number of acronym organisations all struggling against each other despite all basically doing the same thing)
It is really good though, bitchin' soundtrack. P much just RE4/5 lite, so if you enjoyed those this is like a more chill version of that same gameplay style.

Its best to either have a pistol or a machine gun on you at all times. If one is low on ammo, then use the other.
You can stun the oozes by shooting both of their arms til they go limp, which leaves them open for a melee attack.
Hunters can be stunned by shooting them while they are charging.
The Rifle will have tons of ammo for it and is very powerful. It should almost always be in your inventory.
The first boss fight is the hardest one in the game, thanks to your weak weapons, infinitely respawning enemies, and the bosses instant kill attack when he gets close.
Pretty much none of the DLC is worth it. The guns are all things that you can unlock pretty early.
When you are swimming, you actually regain health by resurfacing for air.
There is a new enemy in the HD ports of the game that hangs from the walls and ceilings. Don't let it get close to you because it is a instant kill.
To dodge, either pretty up on the control stick at the exact moment an attack is supposed to hit you or press down + action to dodge and turn around facing the opposite way.
The fat oozes that explode can be defeated easily by shooting their legs until they fall. They explode automatically after a few seconds.
Scan everything. Items are hidden in the environment that cant be found unless you scan for them. If a room is big enough, items may not show up on the scanner until you get closer.

pretty good RE game considering its a Nintendo 3DS game just ported to PC. Its obviously not as good as main titles but its still fun and worth it on sale. Oh, also its better than resident evil 6, this one was really horrible :3
rating: 7.5/10, get it on sale

It is a very good game. The story was awesome.
I definitely recommend it. The graphics were mid but it is an old game so i dont have many expectations

An interesting side story that sets up events in the Resident Evil 5 DLC Lost in Nightmare. Controls like RE5 except you can't run and the dodge mechanics are a bit wonky. Keep in mind, this was original designed for the PSP and then ported to consoles and the PC. If you get it on sale with all the episodes included, totally worth it. Don't pay more than 5 bucks for it though.

Unlike the most recent RE games where there is unlockables to make subsequent playthroughs a bit less hectic, this game demands you learn it's systems such as the dodge along with enemy weaknesses. Knowing when you are playing side characters and just conserving the ammo and healing as you can't level up the weapons unlike when playing as Jill. Once you nail it's systems it's a decent RE game and something different!
Raid Mode is immense! Get a pal and dedicate sometime (and some drinks) and it's a great co-ordinated mode to play. The epic co-op action is dialled to the beyonds when you take on Ghost Ship and it's more challenging counterpart!
Not giving it a score as I am not a review wank, Just throwing in my two cents having been into the series since the start. Play this if challenge and survival horror are your jam...(with some action thrown in)

I actually like this game. I love how they go back to a more horror approach and make you stay in one large map like in the first few resident evil games. The only problems I have with the game are the bosses and the dialogue which are poorly done. I am also a little annoyed they didn't bring the typewriter back in this game. Other than that, I think this is truly an underrated game and deserves more attention.
